1. They make you look like a beggar
Dont beg for visitors. If they dont want to read your content stuff em. As long as you like you blogging you will survive
2. They get you fake blog readers
What is a blog reader? It’s not what you think.
3. The make your blog look lame, especially if it’s a entrecard competition
Yes they make it look like you are trying to buy your readers
4. They push up bounce rates
People bounce on competitions. They come see what’s up, join your feed and become another “reader” that does not grow your blog or have interest in your articles.
5. They make your blog look cheap
Think about your advertisers. Would they want to advertise on a site that runs a competition a week just to get some back links? I wouldnt.
6. It looks like you cant write quality articles
Having constant competitions makes it look like you cant really blog and have nothing to write about.
7. Unproffesional
They just do look unprofessional.
8. They are annoying
9. They substitute content
As in no.6 but because people really cant blog but start blogs for the wrong reasons they need to get their money that they so much look forward to and then start a blog.
10. I dont take part in competitions enough to come up with this point.
Only 9 points would of sucked.
Great thanks for reading
