Twitter is broken.

July 31st, 2008

Twitter seems to be broken. I have my third account now and it just does not work. I cant sign in, when i go to a page it says page not found and the site takes ages to load. Its supposed to be a bit fun but that is no fun. Using twitter seems like a lot of work. I deleted my old account. Twitter has this thing where if you delete your old account you can get it back within 24 hours. Its been a few weeks now and everytime I go check it says twitter is still deleting my account.

Have they grown to big to manage or what the heck is the problem?

Sony Erricson G705

July 31st, 2008

The new Sony Ericsson appears to have a handsome new slider on its way out in the near future. According to a slew of pictures leaked to the se4m forums, supposed to sit beside the previously spied (and supposedly forthcoming) Remi. The device, code named the G705, will feature GPS, WiFi, a 2.4-inch display, a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash, 128MB of internal memory, and will run atop the A2 software platform. There’s not a lot of info to go around right now

No more thick base pizza

July 31st, 2008

The other day we went to a certain restaurant in Somerset West to have some nice pizza. But this was the restaurant where they have the roll sides or the stuffed crust. More than one pizza place does this but this one refused to give me a thick based pizza. Instead they want to charge me to get a stuffed crust pizza.

What a way to make extra few rands but the same time you loose a customer.

CONSUMER TIP

Allways check your pizza restaurant if they have thick base before going to sit down and eat.

If you barely get chips, they might as well let you have a bigger packet.

July 31st, 2008

Today I went to Mcdonalds in Somerset Mall where I bought my 2 year old a packet of chips. I drove all the way from the other side of Somerset West to get a small R8 packet of chips.

Now I am not complaining about the chips itself. If they want to give me just a few chips that my 2 year old can carry in her hand, all at once its fair I guess. For now at least.

The problem comes when they give me a packet the size of a matchbox to squish all the chips in so that it looks like I am actually getting something.

When I got to the till , the lady just dumped that small little bag of chips into one of those big brown bags. When I opened it in the car most of the chips had fallen out into the big brown bag.

Now my 2 year old wants chips, and I want to give her the chips but i cant just give the massive bag to her. So I had to take out the chips, go and ask for a bigger packet where the chips will actually fit in and then my 2 year old could finally eat it.

My point is, if you’re going to sell something at least make it fit in the packet. Even if the packet makes it look like nothing.

Today we start the consumer section on Fromtheold.com

July 31st, 2008

After so many oily chips from Mcdonalds, yes oily and buying at least one pizza a week we are going to start the consumer section where we will compare pizzas and chips. We will shop around and tell you where you will find the best deal.

So stick around and check out the size of those pizzas.

Seriously.

(note: we will not ONLY review pizzas and chips. That was just chat.)

So if you have any photos of something you bought and you would like to share it, please go ahead and use the contact page.
