Jerusalem, Israel – The Israel Defense Minister Ehud Barak claimed that Israel was attacked with iron rods, knives and live ammunition last night. He also said that the reason Israeli army opened fire was because their lives were in danger.
The IDF Minister Barak also said that the most violent resistance came from one ship containing about 600 anti Israel people, the ship’s name was Marmara.
Barak also said that the flotilla was a deliberate attempt to provoke Israel
Jerusalem, Israel – The full story of what really happened might remain a mystery depending on who you want to believe. The IDF published their side of the story of what happened in the early hours of May 31.
Here is their side of the story in full:
Early this morning (May 31) the Israel Navy intercepted the flotilla after the protesters on board ignored Israeli warnings. IDF forces met with severe pre-planned violence from the demonstrators, including use of live fire and light weaponry.
Early this morning, IDF Naval Forces intercepted six ships attempting to break the maritime closure of the Gaza Strip. This happened after numerous warnings from Israel and the Israeli Navy that were issued prior to the event. The Israeli Navy requested the ships to redirect toward Ashdod where they would be able to unload their aid supplies which would then be transferred over to the Gaza Strip after undergoing security inspections.
During the boarding of the ships, demonstrators onboard attacked the IDF Naval personnel with live fire and light weaponry including knives and clubs. Additionally, one of the weapons used was grabbed from an IDF soldier. The demonstrators had clearly prepared their weapons in advance for this specific purpose.
As a result of this life-threatening and violent activity, naval forces first employed riot dispersal means, followed by live fire.
According to initial reports, these events resulted in over ten deaths among the demonstrators and numerous injuries. In addition, five naval personnel were injured, some from gunfire and some from various other weapons. Two of the soldiers were seriously wounded and the remainder sustained moderate injuries. All of the injured parties, Israelis and foreigners, are currently being evacuated by helicopter to hospitals in Israel.
Reports from IDF forces at the scene indicate that some of the participants onboard the ships were planning to lynch the forces
The events are ongoing, and information will be updated as soon as possible. Israeli Naval commander, Vice Admiral Eliezer Marom is overseeing the events.
In the coming hours, the ships will be directed to the Ashdod port, while IDF naval forces perform security checks in order to identify the people on the ships and the cargo brought on board. The IDF Spokesman emphasizes that this event is currently unfolding and further details will be provided as soon as possible.
This IDF naval operation was carried out under orders from the political leadership to prevent the flotilla from reaching the Gaza Strip and breaching the maritime closure.
The boarding of ships in the flotilla followed numerous warnings given to the organizers of the flotilla before leaving their ports as well as while sailing towards the Gaza Strip. In these warnings, it was made clear to the organizers that they could dock in the Ashdod Sea Port and unload the equipment they are carrying in order to deliver it to the Gaza Strip in an orderly manner, following the appropriate security checks. Upon expressing their unwillingness to cooperate and arrive at the port, it was decided upon to board the ships and lead them to Ashdod.
IDF naval personnel encountered severe violence, including use of weaponry prepared in advance in order to attack them, as well as having their weapons stolen by protesters and used against them. The forces operated in adherence with operational commands and took all necessary actions in order to avoid violence, but to no avail.
Jerusalem, Israel – According to the Israel Defense Force there were top Islamist extremists at the launch of the flotilla to the Gaza strip which might of caused the tensions to rise and might also of caused Israel to board the ships.
Today all over the world people are angry with Israel because of what happened hours ago near the Gaza blockade.
The launching ceremony for the flotilla to the Gaza Strip was attended by several Islamist extremists in Istanbul.
While the flotilla organizers present themselves as human rights advocates whose sole goal is to assist the people of Gaza, a new report reveals the groups cooperation with radical human rights violators. According to a report by the Intelligence & Terrorism Information Center, senior Islamic extremists attended the launching ceremony in Istanbul of a boat participating in the flotilla. Among the participants were Mahmad Tzoalha and Sahar Albirawi, both top Hamas terrorists who today operate in Great Britain, and Hamam Said, a leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan.
Bolant Yilderim, the chairman of the IHH, a Turkish based pro-Palestinian organization that is spearheading the Gaza flotilla, delivered a radical speech at the ceremony to the applause of Turkish politicians and radical Islamic activists. “Israel behaves like Hitler did towards the Jews. Hitler built concentration camps in Germany, and today the Zionist entity is building concentration camps in Palestine,” said Chairman Yilderim.
The rally was also attended by Sheikh Raed Salah, leader of the Northern Branch of the Islamic Movement in Israel, who praised the attitude of the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and asked leaders of the entire Arab world to follow his example.
Salah has previously admitted in an Israeli Court to conferring with foreign agents and assisting unauthorized organizations, after it had become known that he was in contact with Hamas. He often voiced anti-Semitic hate messages that are based on the most ancient blood libels: “We are not the ones who eat a meal based on bread and cheese in children’s blood,” he said in one of his speeches, and at another event he stated that the Jews are “butchers of pregnant women and babies… Thieves, you are the bacteria of all times… The Creator meant for you to be monkeys and losers… Victory is with the Muslims, from the Nile to the Euphrates.”
“If the goal of the flotilla was humanitarian, they would have let Israel transfer the aid through, and would not have attempted to infiltrate the Gaza Strip in an illegal way,” explains Col. (res.) Reuven Ehrlich, a former member of the Israeli Intelligence Corps who currently heads the Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center. “Their only goal is to generate a provocation aimed at embarrassing Israel and the IDF, and to aid Hamas and the Hamas government in the Gaza Strip.”
Istanbul, Turkey – Thousands of protesters marched through the streets of the capital of Turkey in protest of the people killed in the Gaza flotilla clash. Most of the people killed in the Gaza flotilla clash were Turkish. 15 people died in the clash when the aid ship wanted to enter Gaza through the Gaza blockade.
The "Freedom" Flotilla carried activists as well as aid headed for Gaza.
Jerusalem, Israel – In the early hours of May 31 2010 a clash occurred between the six ship flotilla that was part of the Free Gaza movement and Israel naval forces. The flotilla planned to ship through the Gaza Blockade even though they were told that they would be turned back. Israel warned them that they should not attempt to cross the Gaza blockade.
When the flotilla reached the Gaza blockade they were told to turn back by the Israeli navy and did not respond to calls to turn their ship back. The flotilla raised their white flags to surrender but it was to late.
There are multiple accounts of what happened but the Israel Defense Forces said that they were shot upon first by the activists, video later shows otherwise. The truth of what happened has not been fully revealed.
The activists claim that the ships were search prior to engaging on their mission. An anti-Israel news station claimed that it seemed the activists were peaceful.
Cape Town, South Africa – The Government of South Africa claims there is no known terror threat against the 2010 FIFA World Cup, they also believe the article in the Sunday Times "incorrectly claimed" that there is a terrorism threat against the tournament.
The National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure (NATJOINTS), which coordinates all security operations for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, strongly disputes the Sunday Times lead article which incorrectly claims that there is a terrorism threat against the tournament.
The article in question is riddled with inaccuracies and most comments are from anonymous sources.
Although the NATJOINTS is not prepared to discuss intelligence matters for obvious reasons, we can categorically deny the existence of a “watch-list of 40 terror suspects”or the arrest of any person directly targeting the World Cup. We can also dispute the existence of “operational militant training camps in several provinces in South Africa”.
The security forces can firmly state that there is no known specific terror threat against the 2010 FIFA World Cup. All operational plans are on track, teams already in their base camps are moving around and police deployments are increasing.
We again make an appeal to all media to report responsibly in order to avoid alarming the community needlessly.

New York, USA – The mayor of New York Michael Bloomberg backed the building of a massive mosque in New York. He said on Friday that muslims have the right to do so. There are massive protests currently in New York and around the US where people protest against the building of a mosque in New York because they believe Muslims will use the mosque to show their victory.
Michael Bloomberg said “What is great about America and particularly New York is we welcome everybody, and if we are so afraid of something like this, what does that say about us?…If you are religious, you do not want the government picking religions, because what do you do the day they don’t pick yours?”
Cape Town, South Africa – 31 May 1910 was the day that the Union of South Africa came into being. The Union of South Africa came from the merging of the Cape Colony that was under British rule and the Colony of Natal as well at the Transvaal and the Orange River Colony.
South Africa became a Republic on 31 May 1961 and 40 years later the day would be remembered for the day the ANC led government destroyed the monument of former prime minister Johannes Gerhardus Strijdom.
Republic day was a public holiday until the ANC took control of South Africa and is mostly not celebrated by the majority of South Africans anymore.
Washington, USA – On May 30th at 10:06 the United States reached the point where they have spent $1trillion on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, a war that that cost over 1 million people their lives and was also admitted at one point to be purely for oil (in Iraq).
America’s war is bankrupting their people.
In 2002, Barack Obama stated . . .
"I don’t oppose all wars. And I know that in this crowd today, there is no shortage of patriots, or of patriotism. What I am opposed to is a dumb war. What I am opposed to is a rash war. What I am opposed to is the cynical attempt by Richard Perle and Paul Wolfowitz and other arm-chair, weekend warriors in this Administration to shove their own ideological agendas down our throats, irrespective of the costs in lives lost and in hardships borne.
What I am opposed to is the attempt by political hacks like Karl Rove to distract us from a rise in the uninsured, a rise in the poverty rate, a drop in the median income—to distract us from corporate scandals and a stock market that has just gone through the worst month since the Great Depression.
That’s what I’m opposed to. A dumb war. A rash war. A war based not on reason but on passion, not on principle but on politics."
