Mozilla Firefox Focus

Hopefully one day Mozilla will create a search engine for privacy as well. For now, they created Mozilla Firefox Focus, a new browser for your IOS aimed at privacy. Unfortunately this browser is not yet made for Android but not that it would help anyway, Android is a Google operating system so you basically have no privacy anyway. Not that IOS is perfect by the way.

It also offers some functions for Safari which is much needed currently on IOS.

What is the true history of mankind?

From childhood most of us have heard bible stories or seen myths of ancient greek gods. History is filled with interesting stories and theories but what really happened? Where do we come from?

Around the world there is evidence that history is not at all what it seems, the history of mankind is not what we are taught in school and even evolution can be questioned.

Countless cultures and religions around the world talk about gods, people and even creatures coming from space and visiting or even in some cases mingling and messing with humans, sexually and in other ways.

From strange artifacts on Mars to weird holes in Peru, from the Sumerians to the Hebrew Bible. History should be looked at with more open eyes and funny enough, with more scrutiny. We should question where we come from and not believe everything we are told.

Snow in Helderberg and Table Mountain

Snow fell in Cape Town, especially on Table Mountain and Helderberg Mountains. The entire N2 is blocked due to flooding and its freezing cold outside. Sure is winter.

Lourensford river is almost at the level of flooding. This morning the traffic was absolutely horrible. Check out these photos of the snow on the Helderberg and Hottentots Holland mountains.

ANCYL warns South Africa of land grabs, Zimbabwe style here we come

Face it, we all know Zimbabwe styled land grabs are coming to South Africa, its only a matter of time. According to many news sources the ANCYL deputy president Ronald Lamola said this past Friday that “It was only after a forceful mass action by the people of Zimbabwe that Zanu-PF ended up owning up to that role…. It looks like we are going to have that here,”. He was referring to land grabs.
“When the land grab process was starting in Zimbabwe, people ran away,”  “They are going to leave.” talking about white people.

“Who is celebrating ? The white people who own this country,” He was talking about Malema’s expulsion from the ANCYL and the ANC.

So we can clearly see that the ANCYL wants to first of all chase white people away from South Africa and secondly a land grab Zimbabwe style.

Welcome to the banana republic.

Taking minimalism to the extreme, buy nothing in 2012

I just thought about something i think i’ll try to stick with. I’m not really one for new year’s resolutions but I’m going to try my best not to buy anything in 2012. Obviously if there are bills for hosting, petrol for the car or maybe a tire that needs to be replaced i’ll do it. This also excludes things that I need for health sake, like pills or toothbrushes. Basically I’m going to try not to buy anything at all as much as possible.

Is this even possible? My wife busy the food so that also excludes that and might make it a bit unfair for others that might want to do the same but the project is with common sense, you have to eat obviously.

The main thing is not to buy gadgets, software, junk i dont need, camping gear etc. If i want something i’m going to have to make it myself.

Is this possible?
