City of Cape Town shuns F1 grand prix racing

What a bunch of hippies, the DA shoved the F1 Grand Prix idea out of the way, they put on brakes, halted, stoppped all progress towards Cape Town hosting the F1 and guess what they did instead…. G1 Racing Green and electric cars.

Its called City Challenge Cape Town. It sounds more like this city is challenged.

We already have “biospheres” where the DA runned reserves claim that they are voted biospheres by apparent willing communities.

Once again they are lying, this is not the topic, they shunned the F1 for green racing and UN supported environmental crap.

Although according to news they did say “We have to distribute events throughout the city,” said Groenewald. “With all the events at the stadium, we cannot have the same community being continually subjected to noise and traffic.”

That might be true but the F1 grand prix was only to be once a year. What did they expect building a massive stadium in the middle of a community anyway?

There are two main reasons you should not fly with SAA

I’m sure you’ve heard of the whole “no white pilots in SAA” embarrassment, well if you did then this is my opinion.

1. As it was revealed this week, they are purely a racist company. I’d say in my opinion that employing people on base of race is pretty racist. Its like the rest of South Africa but what makes this just a bit worse is no .2

2. Would you like to fly in a airplane where the pilot was or is employed based on his race? Should’nt qualifications come above race in any common sense work environment? So next time you fly SAA, remember that the pilot flying the plane might only be flying the plane because he is black and not because he is actually the best person for the job.

3. Oh and here is another one, I wont fly SAA ever again if i can help it. They might be able to employ only black people and be racist like that but guess what, white people has money as well and in the end, if no one flies SAA they will come to nothing with their racist policies.

Cape Town stadium is a useless waste of space

The Cape Town Stadium in Green Point is a like a dead lepper, no one can use it because it costs to much to rent for a day, the taxpayers dont want clubs and restaurants there because of noise and now some activist wants to demolish the Cape Town Stadium.

In case you wondering that is the stadium that cost Cape Town R4.5000 000 000 to build. What a waste of money.

FIFA is long gone with their cash and cameras and now Cape Town is stuck with this gigantic eye sore of a useless stadium.

Why i dont buy an Ipad 3

The Ipad3 is now available in South Africa, just this week Nashua mobile said they have the thing available for on contract or cash. The thing is, I dont or wont buy an ipad for the simple reason that it is not lasting. Now let me explain what i mean with that. With lasting i mean they dont bring out an Ipad and there it is, no they have to bring out the first one then buy the time you have enough cash for the 1st one then there is a second. By the second one if you dont buy it you probably really want it so you save up for the second one by the time you have just enough cash to buy the second Ipad then guess what. Ipad3 comes out.

There you sit with your brand new Ipad 2 while thinking you wish you had an Ipad 3 but I bet you by the time you got enough spare cash for number 3 then the next one will probably be out. That is what i mean with a lasting product. Unlike the Ipad.

North Korea lost the plot, never had it to start with

After their failed rocket launch the dumb little dictator is once again trying to mess up everyone’s day.  The crazy little man in Pyongyang is thinking of shooting another rocket, their 3rd nuclear test. The mad little dictator’s military now said that “Substantial preparations for the test have been completed,” . So it appears that they are about to send another few dollars into thin air while the entire population of North Korea suffers  from hunger and the world’s worst concentration camps this little midget is preparing his missile.

Loeriesfontein gallery

Loeriesfontein is the most beautiful place in the world. The beautiful Karoo sunsets, the long stretched out views of valleys and great plains and the plant life that you might miss if you dont climb out and take a closer look.

(unfortunately due to WordPress’s new upload function only two images made it through the upload.)

Taking minimalism to the extreme, buy nothing in 2012

I just thought about something i think i’ll try to stick with. I’m not really one for new year’s resolutions but I’m going to try my best not to buy anything in 2012. Obviously if there are bills for hosting, petrol for the car or maybe a tire that needs to be replaced i’ll do it. This also excludes things that I need for health sake, like pills or toothbrushes. Basically I’m going to try not to buy anything at all as much as possible.

Is this even possible? My wife busy the food so that also excludes that and might make it a bit unfair for others that might want to do the same but the project is with common sense, you have to eat obviously.

The main thing is not to buy gadgets, software, junk i dont need, camping gear etc. If i want something i’m going to have to make it myself.

Is this possible?

Tinyhomes in South Africa

I’ve always wanted to build a Tiny home. Dont know what a Tiny home is? Well you better start searching since this is probably what most minimalists dream of. A Tiny home can be built on a trailer, some of them are smaller than wendyhouses (not necessary on a trailer). Point is they are small houses, mostly made of wood or brick they contain the minimal space needed and the most basic things and utilities one can live with. In the US some of these homes sell for almost 10 000 dollars. Why would someone spend that kind of money on a Tiny home? Well first of all they dont have to pay their monthly bond payments, they can use that money for something else, secondly maintenance and building standards almost fall away (if its built on wheels).

I might do a project like this soon in one of South Africa’s most beautiful towns, Touwsriver.

More racism against white students

Media freedoms, racist government.. oh the issues South Africans face. After 17 years of “democracy” in South Africa we now have racism against white people.. oh hang on, this has been going on for a while now. It was all over the news that the racist Stellenbosch univeristy actually reverse an application of a prospective student that wanted to study medicne because she is white.

Why in a “free” and equal South Africa do we have a government and education system that discriminates against colour?

The Freedom Front plus sent out a statement:

The racist policy of the government and universities is still after seventeen years marginalising people to only a race and is to the detriment of all South Africans. A black doctor could be seen as only having qualified because of his/her skin colour. Such approach is thus unfair towards black doctors who is competent and did qualify in terms of merit,” Wouter Wessels, national leader of the FF Plus Youth, said.

Wessels reacted to reports of the University of Stellenbosch reversing the approved application of a prospective student to study medicine after discovering that she is white

Wessels added that this type of policy is creating a new generation of aggrieved citizens.  “A child who was born in 1994 is turning 18 years old next year.  This should be a new hopeful generation. Continuous affirmative action policies have a negative effect on the whole of society.  The emphasis is only on race and not on merit – this has a negative impact on the esteem of society.  The negative baggage of the past should not be allowed to further taint the present and the future. The youth demands a better dispensation free of racism and marginalisation.”
