Good news and bad, well first the Good, the next instalment of Half-Life  2: Episode 3 is still in the works.

The bad news is, we have still a few years of waiting to do before Gordon gets his hands on the Half-Life 3 Crowbar which will no doubt somehow survive to this next instalment.

Personally i cannot wait to see what happens to Gordon in this next instalment, what dangers he going to face, and how miraculously he is going to survive the again, no thanks to the G-Man.

With this years E3 having just passed and Valve having had little to say and not much more to show, we give you these 2 concept arts to tantalise your taste buds. Something we should all know by now is that Valve is not the fastest of developers usually leaving large gaps between their major releases, but as with Half-Life 2 that was worth the wait and then the episodes to wet our taste buds in between we can be assured that Episode 3 and Half-Life 3 will be no different.

So lets all be patient and wait for the marvel that is Mr. Freeman

I only wish this was a joke, but its not, now available overseas and in my personal opinion, hopefully never in SA. People started to worry when, at the last Ubiday, Splinter Cell: Conviction, about how the game was doing. But fear not, Ubisoft has decided to rather release it as part of their 2009-2010 lineup, as apposed to this years fourth quarter, you know, to make a bigger splash next year.

Signs seemed to suggest that the game may be undergoing some reworking’s, even though Ubi Reps were not revealing much. What they did mention was that Michael Ironside would no longer be returning as the voice of Sam Fisher.

It is however still expected to be a great game, but for now we will just have to wait till the shelves populate themselves with this delayed game.

StokedGamer.com has learnt that the new 55nm, the successor to the currently new GTX280, will be launched at the year’s (2008) NVISION. With the recent Patch 1.03 for Rainbow Six Vegas 2, owners who had purchased the game via "Direct 2  Drive"  download service were faced with a few problems. The new patch actually stopped the game working for those owners, however the owners of the Disk releases faced no trouble at all.

The forums were piling up with queries and responses to the problem with some of the users suggesting that the Illegal No-CD Crack created by RELOADED actually fixed the error for the D2D users. Because the cracks are obviously illegal the forum moderators issued warnings tot eh users posting this suggestion and removed their posts.

Ubi releases their own fix for this error and it worked just as well as the not so legal method, so a few users took it upon themselves to dig deeper into the source code for the fix and found that the official release of the fix was none other than the illegal crack released by RELOADED, just in disguise. Steeling for the criminals, what is this world coming too. LOL

What is all the fuss about, well we can always start with the fact that the code created by the RELOADED is considered illegal in the US, but also in direct violation of Ubi’s own ‘Terms and Conditions’ and in the past they have punished users for using for using this and other illegal cracks in the past.

Ubisoft have not yet released an official response to explain how and why this has happened, but a post in the forum under the current thread discussing this matter, by the community manager, was said:

“We’re looking into this further as this was not the UK Support team that posted this, however if it is an executable that does not need the disc I doubt it has come from an external source. There’d be very little point doing so when we already own the original unprotected executable.
As soon as we find out more about this we’ll let you know.”

For now we can sit back and wait to hear what Ubi has to say around the matter. for gamers requiring a legal fix to the error, you will unfortunately have to wait, as Ubi has wisely decided to remove the fix from their servers. As more information is available we will pass it on to you.
