Being a full time blogger I have been looking for a long time for something like Windows Live writer. I was using Ubuntu and have wanted to try Windows Live Writer for some time now.
Windows Live writer can be installed on any Windows machine and i have only been using it for a few days now but its probably the best blogging software out there.
Who would of thought that I would be doing a review on Windows Software.
The one thing that saves a lot of time in Windows Live writer the ability to upload images directly from your Desktop onto your blog. You can also upload video directly from your desktop which makes blogging images way easier.
Another thing is the preview style of the draft or post you are working on. it takes on the form of your blog so you can basically see how the current post will look in your blog while typing.
And even with a live preview of how it will look in your blog, blogging has never been easier than now.

A niche blog can be advertised in a magazine or a newspaper esier than a normal blog. The reason for this is once again because the focus. Lets say you have a blog about cars. its easier to make a ad and get advertisers as well as drawing people to your site via magazine or paper. Usually people buy magazines of things they have interest in and anything that has not to do with that magazine topic they reallly dont want while reading that specific magazine.
But when you advertise your niche blog in a magazine that has to do with the same topic, that is when you will get the attention of those readers and potentially get more visitors to your site.

Niche blogging is the best way to get customers to your site for a specific keyword that relates to your product. Search engines love Nice blogs because everything on the site refers to the same topic. That means all your link on the site has to do with the same topic. So if a search engine would look for that topic, or someone using the search engine would look for something you have on your niche blog the chances are that the search engine will rather refer your site to them because the topic is everywhere on your site.
The more one blogs about a certain topic the more search engines will come to your site. The great thing about niche blogging is that you know what you want and you know the keywords you are after. this also makes it better because it wont feelĀ like you are poking in the airĀ with your niche blog as with a personal blog. You know what you’re after and going for it is way easier than for something that you dont really know what you want.
A niche blog can make you a expert in a area, for instance if you can blog about cars people will refer to you when looking for cars but if you have a blog that generally blogs about anything and everything the chances are that people will not see you as a expert and in turn you dont get the opportunities you really can get if you have a niche blog.

Niche blogging is blogging or a blog about a certain topic. The reason people start niche blogs is usually because of interest in a specific topic like blogging, fishing etc.
A niche blog is usually not that personal but covers certain aspects of a certain topic. Most niche blogs get more readers and do better than normal and personal blogs. The readers are also more targeted and therefore a niche blog can be better monetized than a normal blog.
In the last few years people have been starting niche blogs to make money and they do make money. The best reason to start a niche blog however is not to make money only but because you have a interest in the topic. Blogs can take a few months to get off the ground and having no interest in the topic but only blogging to make money out of it can get you stuck in the future. Where you might of spend all that time blogging but then you realize you dont really have interest in the topic you are blogging about.
Niche blogging also gets inbound links quicker because you site can be categorized and those that like the topic of your niche blog will easier link to it.
I will explain what niche blogging is in the future even beter but this is just a intro.
Welcome to bloggingniche.com my name is esvl for short and I will be blogging here.

I like Amatomu. My amatomu rankings are more important for me than Technorati because its local and actually matters. If you were in the top 100 on Technorati that would be great but most people use Amatomu to figure out their local rankings between other blogs. Amatomu has a widget that you can embed that sits in the corner of your browser window. It displays the ranking of the current blog you are on. The only problem with that is when you have a 1024 resolution on most blogs the widget goes over the menu as some other things.
So here is a suggestion to Amatomu. The most used size ad or embedded thing on a blog is the 125×125. If they could make a 125×125 widget to display your ranking that would be great. Then we dont have to go check our rankings on the site everyday because I do. Fromtheold.com is now around 40’s and hopefully it can be in the top 10 someday. Having that widget on your site, you can then show off your blog’s rankings and maybe get some advertisers. For what it’s worth.

There are many blogs out there that show you how to make money and how to have a succesful blog. But the other day I read a comment on a blog somewhere. That really made me think about how I read tips the same way other people read them. Lets say for instance you read one of these A-list blogger’s blogs and they give “you” a tip. If you think about it, 30000-50000 other bloggers got the same tip from the same blog. Now they also know the tactics and when they see it they will know that you got it at the same place and all you are doing is a marketing scheme or whatever the tips was about. Then that shows just how unoriginal your blog is.
You get my point ?

Cv
You can use your blog to showcase your cv and when someone asks for your cv you can jsut send them a link. Or you can send them straight to the download link instead of having to email it for them and hope they get it.
Journal
You can use your website for a journal what most people do. They write their personal stuff in it and just blog about their personal lifes instead of having a book form journal. This is actually how some of the first blogs started.
Photoblog
You can use your website to upload all your photos for your familly and friends to view
Portofolio
If you are a designer you can use your website to display all your designs
Contact place
If you are a traveler who does not stay in one country longer than a week you might want to use a website as a place for everyone to contact you. Sort of like a homebase.

When you have a niche blog you sometimes will stumble upon other sites that might be better than your own site and you will think to yourself that they have filled the gap and its almost discouraging to see that unfortunately that market has been filled. But dont give up just yet.
The internet is big enough for the both of you. Learn from them and apply it in your blog, even your competition if you have maybe a local blog, learn from their mistakes and things you see where you can improve your blog.
Never feel as if your blog will never get where that one blog is that you look up to so highly, if you keep on blogging your blog will eventually get there as well.
The success in blogging is to keep on blogging and not giving up, no matter how bad your blog is, it can only get better as you learn your way around your niche.

Entrecard was a nice traffic source when my blog started out a few months ago. Heck I was even at top sometimes. But its time for me to say good bye to Entrecard.
Maybe in the future I will have entrecard on my blog again if all the regular readers decided they ad enough of me and this blog. But for now, its gone.
I have a few reasons for removing entrecard from my blog but before I get there I first want to tell you that entrecard is a great source of traffic. But its not for me.
The reason I have removed Entrecard is because the more people come to my site just to click on the Entrecard the less money I make. Targetting search engines is already difficult, and adding the extra traffic from entrecard messed up my Adsense percentage.
Now if I keep entrecard I would make less money.
Another thing. Entrecard started out a certain way. I joined and dropped. But now they have changed it. People have been complaining and they listened. Great. But I dont like the way entrecard works now.
Useless traffic does not exist. You have the opportunity to get annyone to read your articles but if they are not the ones you target with your blog it has not point in keeping the widget.

So you wanna make money online but you dont know where to start and you cant even type asdf with you left hand, who cares. If you have a website you can still make money blogging. What do you know, what are you good at? Well that is the answer to making money online, You cant blog about something if you have no interest in it. You cant type articles for more than two years if you have no interest in what you are typing. It just wont stick. So you gotta take what you know and turn it in words. If you cant do that just look what others are writing about to get you started. In the beginning write the same things as they do. After that you will learn.

Today its time for my about page on this blog. I dont have a about page and blogging about professional blogging one must have a About page which is one of the basics of a blog. A about page is the first place people go to when looking to see who the author of the blog is. Or if they want to know what the blog is about they first go to the about page. That is where you should show your stuff as they say. Some people even have a mini cv on their about page.
On your about page you dont have to write your life story, but just enough so that people know what they are doing on your blog. What is the purpose of your blog and expand a bit on your blog’s tagline.
If people know a bit more about you and more about how human you are they wont feel like they are reading a machine but a human being.
Your about page should show your readers what you have to offer them, what you can add to their lives and how you can help them with a specific topic.
Most people prefer to stay anonymous but if you dont want your name displayed all over your blog the best place to mention your name once would be on the about page.
So starting with the about page here are some simple steps to having a nice about page:
Introduce yourself
Joke around and be human
Show what you have to offer your users and what it can add to your life
Showcase a bit about yourself and make it easy for people to offer you a job or freelancing
A more simple way would be to:
Just tell people who your are, what you do and qualified for and how you can help / advance / teach them about the specific topic.

The best thing to do when you have nothing to blog about is to ask for a guest post or to just not write anything, even if it goes past your post date. Blogging when you dont really have something to say will show that it’s not passionate. You must enjoy blogging otherwise it would become a 3 monther. A 3 monther is the passing time for a blog to be a real blog, because most people quit before 3 months. They just dont have the patience to get past that. That is also the reason there are so many abandoned blogs. Especially on blogspot. I dont know if they delete it after a while but sometimes while browsing I get to some blogspot blogs that are 3 years old and that is when they’ve last updated.
