That is what sets aside great blogs from not so great blogs.
Have you ever typed a great article and think by yourself millions of people will love this? Well they probably will, its just if you dont allready have those visitors the content is going no where.
Now I am not talking about social marketing etc and all that stuff. I am just talking about posting something and getting a reaction from it.
The reason most blogs succeed is because they create the search engine content and then when they get visitors they use that traffic to boost their new articles. Sounds obvious. Let me explain.
If you get 1000 visitors a month from search engines. Probably 10 at least of those are people that bookmark and share interesting stuff. Might even be less.
Now if you get 10 000 visitors a month from search engines the chances are that 100 people are bookmarkers and people that share.
See how having more search engine traffic can increase visitors to your site from other sources.

To get listed for a certain keyword is not that hard but for some keywords it takes time. So when someone tells you they can get your keyword listed on search engines it might be possible but not without time. Search engine optimization is not just entering a word on your website and linking to that page with the word you want to be listed for. There are many factors that depends on your website being found by a certain keyword. Many of which I will try to explain later.
My point is that search engine optimization is a process to by which we blog or write on our websites and blogs to shape your sites into being searched engine optimized for a certain keyword.

Because most sites on the Internet depend on Search engines for all the visitors to their site there exists something called SEO or Search engine optimization. Search engine optimization is the process by which we get our sites to rank higher when someone searches for a certain keyword in those search engines. Ranking higher means more people come to your site and also means you can possible make more money.
People have been doing search engine optimization for years and because of that there is big keywords that you need a dictionary for. I wont be using those keywords often. I will just be blagging about plain classic search engine optimization for anyone that is not into SEO as a hobby or job.
This blog will cover how to get visitors to your site and push your blog’s ranking higher up in search engines.

Sometimes I will blog about Search engine optimization but the time where I would make one or two posts about search engine optimization is gone for now. The reason I dont blog about search engine optimization anymore is that the things one learns while doing SEO is so valuable to one’s success online. Then to just share that is not the brighest thing.
So you might not find the info hear about SEO and you can just go to any other place and get the info, that’s true but every person in the SEO industry has his own secrets and most of the time the “professional” seo’s will really not share what makes them really get the results they do.
Just my opinion.

Sometimes on search engines we want to be listed and ranked high for certain keywords and phrases. But that does actually mean we have to put some effort in our blogging. I used to think just using the keyword in the title will get me listed for the keywords in that title. Until I realized that I actually dont get any visitors for that specific keyword on search engines. So I did some search engine optimization studying and learned that if you use the keyword that you want to be listed for more than 5 times per article your chances are way higher than it would normally be.
So to get listed for a specific keyword on search engines you have to at least use the keyword 5 times in your article and once in your title.
But dont get excited just yet. Most search engines especially Google wont just get you on the front page for one article with keywords like I mentioned. No, you have to have at least 10 - 20 articles like this before even considering being listed.
And when you come to high ranking keywords you must even have more than that. Be sure to blog about 100 posts before you look for anything happening with your site on search engines.

When i first started designing websites i did a lot of research about how to make them appear higher in search engines, increase ranking faster and all the other highly important things with making your website no. 1, and one thing i came across was a linking tip. This tip suggested that as a way to keep a bot/spider on your site for longer and essentially making him loop through it that you would rank better, faster because of it categorising your pages more often.
The idea behind this may be true but the search engines have become smarter. The tip was that in the footer of the site that you place a whole lot of ”.’s” (Periods) and link each one to a link on your site starting from the top of your menu going through to the bottom, so period 1 would link back to menu item 1, period 2 would link back to menu item 2 and so on.
I will tell you now that best case scenario you will be the highest ranked website provided someone search for a period (“.”) beyond that you’re more likely to get banned or moved way down low just for upsetting the search engines and wasting their time.
What is a good idea is to link through to the sites that link to you and obviously submit your site to the search engines for categorization, should you use the footer for this just make sure to not use hidden links, ie white link on a white background, the bots can read colours too. The advantage to linking to sites linking to you is that when submitting your site to be categorised is the bots usually come within a few days and when they go through your links to the next site they will come back when they find the link to your site, rather loop them this way, it is a lot safer and more beneficial to both parties, as the other sites ranks increase from your link so does your rank, and so the circle begins.

I have been doing search engine optimization for some time now but have never considered doing it for money. Although I think I am pretty good at seo I would not consider myself a professional. Most of my traffic comes from search engines. And that is how I like it. I used to go the social way as you can see by my old posts and the number of comments it got. But that was not the way I wanted to go. I wanted search engine traffic.
With search engine traffic I can leave my blog for days without updating it and no one will notices.
I have a lot of readers on rss so I do try to update my blog daily but if its not for subscribers, one would only have to update once in a while.
But for search engine optimization you probably want to update daily. The more you type the more people will find your site and the higher your site will rank.
I guess I dont have a point with this post except that when I get to the top for search engine optimization on search engines I might as well consider doing it for money.

Recently I discovered one of my sites got sandboxed. There is no real sandbox but it’s the scenario described when your site just wont make google. I had a nice blog going and was making a bit of money out of it when I noticed that I would rather make the site a news site instead of a blog, now when you want a site to be recognized as a news site you have to change the urls to a three digit number and seeing my urls was the same as the title I had to change it to numbers, when I did, google sandboxed me. Its as easy as that.
If your blog is indexed by Google and you change the urls afterwards you will get your blog sandboxed

One way of getting more traffic from search engines is to go through your statistics. Now if you only get 10 or 20 unique visitors a day, I think you need to do a bit more blogging. You need to at least get 50 unique visitors a day to your blog. Now this seems like small or useless traffic but if you have your ads ready at the correct place on your blog, even 50 visitors can make you a bit of spare cash.
But what I am talking about is, when you go through your statistics and you find people search for “blogging”. If people on search engines have found your site search for “blogging” you know that there are people out there looking for things related to blogging. Which there obviously is. But what you can do is send out random words to test if people actually search for those keywords. The chances are that people are searching for probably every keywords. But if your site gets found for certain keywords you can know that either you have some how search engine optimized those keywords or there is a open niche market.
Now if you get found for certain keywords on search engines that means you must already be enjoying and blogging about them. So if you take those keywords and blog more about the ones your site gets found for, you can double your traffic that way with a bit of hard work.

You would be surprised how much traffic using tags brings to your blog or website. A lot of people claim that tags make your content look like duplicate content but in fact search engines love tags and you will soon see your search engine optimization using tags works great in your statistics. Tags work especially great when people search for multiple words in search engines. What happens is that the search engin like Google for example takes one word out of the tags and another out of the article that has the other word and matches your search query.
So the more tags you have the better search engines will match up the words and tags together to give you more traffic when people search for multiple or more than one word at a time.

Ok before everyone tries to derail my train I would like to say this post is out of experience.
This is why I say this:
I have two sites. Exactly the niche, just different articles with more or less the same type of writing and content.
The one I have been doing SEO for quite long now and have seen the results but if I compare the two the one that I have done NO seo for gets average 3000 visitors a day more than the one where I do SEO.
Now you might say my SEO stragedies might be messing up the one that does not get traffic. And the fact is you might be correct. But I have been doing seo for a few years now and I kind of know what I am doing when it comes to SEO, so I doubt the fact that my SEO could be the thing that pushes away the traffic.
My argument is when I have spend so much time building links etc for the one without that much traffic the one with traffic is flying and increasing traffic daily.
To me this feels like I wasted all that time doing SEO when in fact I could just of left the site alone and it would be the same level as the other one.
Do notice the fact that both sites have exactly the same software installed and are run exactly the same and are also exactly the same age. (with a month or so difference).
So according to this I am deciding that SEO is useless. As long as you site can be scanned by search engines and dont have duplicate content, who cares about SEO.
Actually my sites have duplicate content, not the same as each other but some articles repeat themselves by accident. And guess what. They rank. So no more waisting time doing SEO.
