Best method to heat house frugally - rocket stove mass heater
Rocket Stove is not as scary as it sounds the design is quite simple and it works. If you like DIY and environmentally friendly building methods this will be the perfect heating system for you. It is made out of basic things that can be found at junk yards the barrels and metal parts, fire bricks are a must for the structural part and cob (clay mixture) to mould the shape, some people have built one for less than $20. Except for the fact that it's easy to build and 'dirt' cheap to build it, rocket stoves can heat up a house with 10 times less wood than a normal fireplace plus the heat lasts much longer. There is also the advantage of no smoke in the house, at the start there is some smoke but as the heat builds the exhaust is pure CO2 and steam.
Here are a couple of video's illustrating how to build or use a Rocket stove and even a testimonial of how good it works. You will see in the video how easy it is to incorporate it into a home most people build a seating area from the exhaust part of the stove. There are some creative designs out there making the Rocket Stove look like a beautiful peace of furniture.

Australia tv, Expert warn of fluoride in drinking water. Toxi metals in Australian water
Today tonight, an Australian news show broadcasted this piece on the dangers of fluoride in drinking water and the experiment that started 40 years ago. For a long time dentists and government officials have denied the dangers of adding fluoride to drinking water.
The expert tells us that we should realise that fluoride is poisonous. Fluoridation should be stopped, the Dr in the video has backup for what she says. She warns especially pregnant mothers against using fluoride.
She also says that fluoride could be the cause for many disease and issues people may have. Fluoride also hides in many products through many sources, fluoride is toxic waste.
Not only does Australian water have fluoride but it also have arsenic, lead and mercury.

National Geographic's poster - Man created dog
This poster is causing some controversy. The poster reads: Man created dog.
The poster also uses part of the bible but replaces God created Adam with "there was wolf and prehistoric man" and instead of "and then God created man in his image" they use "and then man created dog in his image."

Although most Shabbat laws are restrictive (see below), the fourth of the Ten Commandments in Exodus is taken by the Talmud to allude to the positive commandments of the Shabbat. These include:
- Honouring Shabbat (kavod Shabbat): Preparing for the upcoming Shabbat by bathing, having a haircut, and cleaning and beautifying the home (with flowers, for example). On Shabbat itself, wearing festive clothing and refraining from unpleasant conversation. It is customary to avoid talk about money or business matters on Shabbat.[12]
- Recitation of Kiddush over a cup of wine at the beginning of the first and second Shabbat meals, or at a reception after the conclusion of morning prayers (see list of Jewish prayers and blessings)
- Eating three festive meals. Meals begin with a blessing over two loaves of bread (lechem mishneh), usually a braided challah, which is symbolic of the double portion of manna which fell for the Jewish people during their 40 years in the desert after the Exodus from Egypt. It is customary to serve meat or fish, and sometimes both, for the Shabbat evening and morning meals. The third meal, eaten late Shabbat afternoon, is called Seudah Shlishit (literally, "Third Meal"). This is generally a light meal and may be parve or dairy.
- Enjoying Shabbat (oneg Shabbat): Engaging in pleasurable activities such as eating, singing, spending time with the family and marital relations.
- Recitation of Havdalah at the conclusion of Shabbat at nightfall (over a cup of wine, and with the use of fragrant spices and a candle).

This has to be the best motivational poster I have ever seen because it actually motivates. I am awesome he is right :) we have so much that we can do and stop crying about the stuff we cannot.
This is the best thing I have read in a long time.
Video - New Volkswagen bike - Bik.e
Volkswagen released a new bike called the "bik.e". The bike can fit entirely into a boot of a car. The electric bicycle can drive up to 20km on one charge which makes it perfect for riding around town although you need to make it through the taxis and bad Cape Town drivers.
There is no word yet if the bike will actually go into production but if it does it would be a entirely new kind of electric bike.
