Do you give search engines time to scan your content?

Sometimes we think if we blog a few 100 posts in a row that traffic will increase immediately. While that is true in a sense it doe snot always apply.

Most search engines scan the homepage of most blogs daily but it does not scan the rest of the site and if your site goes directly to the archives like mine does you must give search engines chance to scan your content.

What happens when your content disappears into the archives before it gets scanned by search engines is that slogs pick up on your rss feed and they might get scanned before you do resulting in lost traffic.

A famous splog is wikio. That is one of the worst splogs on the internent and if you dont make sure you get listed before them they will for sure steal all your content. And dont even bother contacting them because they wont remove your content. The only way to get your content back form splogs like wikio is to SEO better than they do.

And that means making sure your content gets scanned at a decent rate.

One way is to not update your blog unless you see google or your favourite search engine has indexed your previous posted url.
