Does search engines look at grammar?

The other day I found myself reading a interesting article about Google checking the actual grammar of content for quality. How they do that is beyond my knowledge but it does sometimes make me feel like I am back in school where you had to check every word and all the expresions that you had to use etc.

Whether or not this is true and whether or not search engines do check grammar still remains a question to me. My answer to this is rather safe than sorry. Check your grammar and spelling because remember it is humans that read our content after all and keeping a eye on both of those will surely benefit your blog in the long run.
