Tonight 28 August 2008, Mars will be closest to the earth for the next couple of hundred years. If you watch the moon tonight around 11pm-1am sometime you will see Mars just peeking around the moon. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see this since it only comes once in our lifetime.
I dont know if this is called a eclipse of some sort but I have the camera ready.
