Linking to and from other sites to your’s wont always help you blog. Lets say for instance you have a health site and your friend has a Cms site. Doing a link exchange wont help much because the content is to different for each. It will help if you get a health site linking to you.
Why is this? Search engines put your site in a category if i can so call it. If you have a health site it wants to see other health sites linking to you. It does not want to see Cms sites linking to you. Especially if you want to seo for a certain keyword. What would help is if you get other sites, even your competition to link to your site if they have the same keyword. Say there is other health sites that you can befriend yourself, If even one of them link to your site it will probably mean more than 10 sites linking to you that has a different topic.
I am a bit lazy tonight , just wanted to share that bit.s
