This is part of the road trip series.
So we finally come to Philipolis on because we took the wrong road on route to Bloemfontein from Colesberg and we enter Philipolis. One of the most beautiful towns in South Africa. It reminds me a lot of Greyton in the Western Cape. The main feature of Philipolis looked like it was the church and indeed it is a building to see. The entire town only takes a few minutes to drive through but I really did not expect this beautiful place in the middle of nowhere.
The streets are not that full of cars but the small town is alive and people walk rather than drive, proabably because the town is so small. ![]()

End of Philipolis towards the petrol station
So we drive to the end of the town and there was a petrol station with a friendly guy that has been living there for years. Al he wanted to know is why we were headed to Johannesburg . Johannesburg is a crap place. I know.
So we drove on.
