The new etv new channel has launched and I find it very interesting. As a news junkie that constantly wants to be updated about events and what’s happening in South Africa and around here in Cape Town the BBC and CNN just was not enough. Aljazeera is great but still not South African enough. So with new news channel for South Africa we can be stuck to the tv and hopefully expect the same “breaking news” that other channels give but just for South Africa. Personally I think this new etv news channel is a big step ahead for South African media. In the past few months the media has just gone backwards, even telkom wanting to get in TV. Now wont that suck. They rape the country with their bandwidth or rather bandnarrow and then they think anyone would pay them to watch a channel with the Telkom logos all over. I think not.
