While driving through many places in South Africa you will almost always see small gravel roads going down somewhere. Usually you think it just someone’s property and that you would soon find a no entry sign when you turn off. That is not the case. We take those roads and the lead us to the best places South Africa has to offer. I would not recommend this for tourists, but if you know where are you are go right ahead. Mostly these roads are gravel roads because they are not driven that much, or they take you to other roads which then lead to private properties. But if you dont see a sign that tells you its a private road then the road is there to explore. Its that goat mentality that we think everything belongs to someone else but there are many places in South Africa that is off track worth exploring.
