Getting a 30 year bond on your house

Did you know that in South Africa most people only know that you can get a 20year bond on your house. Most banks dont tell people that you can actually have a bond that is 30 years long. That saves you just a little bit each month if you really need to.

Paying off your house can be easier if you stretch the bond to 30 years but at the end of the day the house will cost you more. So it's a really simple choice, rather take out a 30 year bond if you are really in need of cash but if you can take the 30 year bond but try to pay your house off quicker than required.

The faster you pay your house off the less your house actually costs you.
