Head in sand

I would like to talk about what I would call head in sand disorder or ostrich behavior. I have discovered I have this impulse to ‘hide my head in the sand’ when things become stress full. For example I would just make as if there is no problem trying ot block out all problems. This morning I realized for two weeks now I have been doing it and I feel sick because of the consequence’s of my actions. I have been rudely awakened by the fact because I have dealt this way about my problem I have taken something that can be fixed with a little work to something that would take a miracle to achieve. The common mistake in doing this is that other people have no idea they think I’m just being stubborn or plain lazy but that’s not the case. When faced with so much pressure my mind goes on holiday. It decides that it has had enough I’m in overload and that the problems should just sort themselves out. And by all means this is the worst reaction to stress I can think of. I do not have an solution because I still struggle to see when it is happening and most of the time when I ‘take my head out of the sand’ it’s to late.
