There are some great hollow back survival knives but the question you have to ask yourself is: Would you risk your life with that knife? Now that may sound a bit grim but the fact is when time comes when you need the survival knife to really survive, the survival knife must hold.

Most of the time when you find a hollowback knife with all sorts of gadgets and things inside you will also see how the blade is fixed to what is most of the time a piece of plastic and the blade glued on or fixed with one screw.

Rather go with something you know will hold when you put pressure on it. A survival knife needs to be strong in all aspects and having a hollow blade puts the knife at risk of breaking. Breaking at a time when you really dont need a broken knife. So to be safe why not rather get a knife with a single blade but in the knife holster you have all the other accessories like the flint and the matches. The reason is you will have a holster in anyway for your all in one hollow knife. You might as well have a better knife and some extra stuff in the holster.
