Keeping your car full of fuel is one of the most important things you can do in a unstable country. There are many reasons for this but the most obvious reason is if war should break out, or as we can see in the past few weeks here in South Africa with the Xenophobia, if there would break out genocide or ethnic cleansing the first thing that would happen is that people would start fleeing to a safe place. What happens then is the petrol stations have 10km queues and where there is queues in a war or something similar there will be danger. Having a car full of petrol also enables you to drive directly to a safe destination.

Another reason for this is you never know when there might be a fuel shortage. With a full car you wont get yourself in a situation stuck in the middle of no where like what happened last year in Cape Town and Johannesburg where people’s cars had no petrol, they were far away from home and they could not get home because no petrol station had petrol.

I am sure there are more reasons you can think of.

So keep those cars full of petrol at all times.
