In South Africa if you embed certain South African ads on your site you can earn up to R2 per click. But if you plan your blog correctly you really dont need South African readers neither a South African blog to make money. That is because things like Adbrite and some others pay way more than R2 per click. And if you are doing niche blogging you will even find better affiliates that per more per click.
Even with a local .co.za domain you can make more money than most local blogs if you stick with international companies. Even if they are irrelevant to your niche.
