Andrew Koenig the Growing Pains star was found dead on Thursday in Vancouver at Stanley Park after being missing for a week.

Walter Koenig the Star Trek actor his fater said that

"My son took his own life".

"We've already said what a great guy he was and (what) a good human being. He was obviously in a lot of pain," "If you can learn anything from this, it's that there are people out there who really care. So before you make that final decision, check it out and talk to somebody."

His death was a apparent suicide.
