Pretoria, South Africa - FIFA's Local organising committee's Chief Financial Officer remains in a stable condition in hospital after being shot at and a failed hijacking attempt happened at his home in Sandton Johannesburg last night.

Farouk Seedat was shot right in front of his Gallo Manor home in Sandton, police were called out and said a case of robber is being investigated.

"Seedat was shot and was taken to hospital. He is apparently in a stable condition. A case of attempted murder and robbery is being investigated," she said.

Police are yet to confirm whether anything was stolen.
