Julie & Julia - Movie Trailer

Sunday, February 7, 2010 - 22:30

With the Oscars coming up I have read many times of Meryl Streep's role in Julie & Julia, curiosity lead me to the trailer taking me to a beautiful, wonderful movie.

This is the type of movie that any woman can enjoy, I am not so sure of the men but a can say with confidence that most if not all woman will like Julie & Julia.

It is about two woman from different parts of the world at different times. Both tales are based on real people and their lives. The one is Julie Powell, played by Amy Adams, who works in a small cubicle at a insurance company. She looks at her life and wants to do something more with it and decide to cook every recipe in Julia Child's cooking book and from there her adventure begins. At the same time Julia Child, played by Meryl Streep, who is a bored American living in France decide to learn to cook. An so the two stories play out on screen together.

The humor aspect is what has me hooked. The characters come alive with it. Amy Adams and Meryl Streep is a surprising but very good combination as both woman is very talented, especially in funny but dramatic roles. Both is very good at playing woman who is a bit over top emotionally but at the same time endearing a audience to the characters they play. This is something that can be enjoyed and a person will walk away feeling better for watching it.

It has already been released at most theaters but with Avatars taking the world by storm, some might have missed it.
