Verizon blocks 4chan

The owner of 4chan namely "moot" said on a blog post on 4chan status that they are receiving reports of Verizon Wireless customers having difficulty accessing the image boards.

"Over the past 72 hours, we've been receiving reports from Verizon Wireless customers having difficulty accessing the image boards."

4chan also believes that the blocking of their site is intentional since Verizon is only blocking traffic through port 80 which is used for browsers and that they are only blocking traffic for boards.4chan.org.

"After investigating, we found that Verizon is dropping traffic to/from boards.4chan.org, only on port 80 (HTTP). No other subdomain/IP/port is affected, which leads us to believe this block is intentional."

According to 4chan they will only hear tomorrow what is to happen with the blocking/ unblocking of their site.
