One thing i dont understand is what the oil price has to do with the USA? I am no economist (obviously) but isnt the oil supposed to be dependend on oil countries?
Anyway, a while ago I watched a preview of the movie or documentary called “the end of suburbia” which looks pretty realistic if there is such a theory as peak oil.
The current excuses they give on the news for the oil prices going up really does not make sense. Maybe the oil really is finished and now the governments dont want the rest of the world to panic. But then again I am no economist.
There are small towns in the Uk that has a great idea. I forgot what they call it but basically they prepare for when the world hits the peak of peak oil. They basically drive bicycles and are totally independant of petrol and oil.
The only problem with something like that in South Africa is we have to much crime to use a bicycle or walk to town. We have to drive cars.
