The cederberg is not really a town but a mountain range close to Clainwilliam. The Cederberg is about 200 km from Cape Town and is also a conservation area. There are many famous hiking and camping places in the Cederberg and the drive there can be a rather rough one. The best time of year to go is really any time of year. But the times of year I would recommend is middle summer or middle winter. Beneath the mountain range there is a place called Algoa where there is a lot of accommodation as well as camping spots. In the summer it can get real hot and driving around in the middle of the day is really not recommended but not imposssible.

There is also rock art drawn by the people that once lived there, the Koi and San. You might even find the Cape Leopards there.

More coming.
