Kleinmond is situated in the overberg in the western cape. About 50Km from Hermanus. Kleinmond’s main attraction is the beach and nature.
Kleinmond Beach
Kleinmond Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches and it continues until Hermanus. At December times it’s peak and the place is full of tourists and there is a camping place as well. Kleinmond also has some great properties for sale if you cant find accommodation why not buy a property.
Kleinmond facing Hermanus
In the background you can see Hermanus, well almost. This is the river running into the beach. The currents are quite strong and if you dont know the beach very well you can soon find yourself floating to hermanus. You can see Kleinmond beach on the left side and when the water is high it sometimes covers the entire beach. Kleinmond is also a well known surfing spot.
Kleinmond Bridge
This bridge in Kleinmond is as old as I can remember. It leads you over the lagoon onto the beach. The bridge was rebuilt a few years ago because the wood was rotting. They then made the bridge out of recycled plastic
Kleinmond Camping site
This is the entrance to what used to be Kleinmond Campsite. I am not sure if this place is still used for camping. My grandfather planted those trees in the 80’s.
