A few years ago Rooiels used to be just a few houses but now there is a small town and even Restaurants and Accommodation in the center of Rooiels Town. Rooiels is about 20minutes drive from Somerset West and is becoming a major tourist attraction in the overberg. The overberg actually only starts at Kleinmond if I am correct but who cares. The mountains in Rooiels looks huge since the fire burned the mountain I think last year. Rooiels is still a small Town and much safer than Helderberg or Cape Town. The perfect getaway with the best views.
