When in survival situations you still need to sleep. Whether that’s in a camping tent a house or a hut, you still have to sleep.

Hut building is fairly easy, sometimes easier than setting up a tent. I think even if you have the tent you really need to learn the skill of hut building. A bit of carpentry can take you a far way in the wild. Especially in cold locations, its priceless to know how to build a nice working hut when it snows.

Tents also are not always that wind resistant and can easily blow away.

So I guess the point of this post is that you really need the skill to build a hut, even if you have a tent. I am in the process of acquiring a video camera, I shall then show you how to build a nice hut with a few sticks.
