I think this is brilliant in 2005 Neill Blomkamp made this short film based on District 9. The thing that makes this so extraordinary is the fact that the people in the short film being interviewed doesn't know about the science fiction film about aliens. They are giving their honest thoughts on illegal immigrants in South Africa. Not just illegal immigrants but all foreigners in our country. As you can see they did not sound very positive or friendly but mostly they sound scared.
District 9 is a movie sort of based on the apartheid era in South Africa where blacks was segregated from whites.
The movies plot is where a ship of refugee aliens land in Johannesburg South Africa. The 'world' decides that they are a threat to humanity and needs to be separated from the rest of the population by making this place called District 9. If you know South African history there was a place with the name District 6 where the non whites lived. Any case the main company who 'cares' for the aliens wants to have them moved and sends in this guy to help to get them moved. He learns of how they are being mistreated and snaps. Goes in trying to help the aliens making him a wanted man.

There is much more to the movie than what I wrote but I really would not want is spoil it for someone. But if you watch all the trailers you would get a bigger picture. This is one movie I am looking forward to and cannot wait for it to be released.
Go behind the scenes of District 9 with Peter Jackson
This has to be one of the funniest animated short films I have ever seen. It's just adorable when at the end his lip wobbles :)
The Apple Mac or Imac has since I've first seen Apple computers been to me like a alien's gadget, I had no idea how OS X worked until about three days ago. I was even shock to see the terminal. My experience of OS X and Apple Mac is now three days old and I think its about time I write something about this piece of beauty. Bare in mind I am totally new to Apple and OS X.
The Look and Feel of the Imac
The Imac is unlike any other computer I have ever used before, the mouse and keyboard being plugged directly into the screen and only one power cable it makes my desk way uncluttered. I like things plain and minimal and so far that is exactly what the mac has done. The mouse takes a bit getting used to and the keyboard is more used than it would be used in Windows but after a while I got used to it. The mouse and its weird scroll everywhere function is really brilliant.
The screen itself makes all images stand out, the background of the rocks makes you feel like you can take one out. Its the best my photos I personally take looks. Whether its the software the hardware I am not going into all that now.
The Software and OS X
Although I dont quite get how the programs install or work, I mean i download a program, click on the file and it opens. There is no installation or none of the usual wait a while and setup. its weird but it makes life way easier using the Mac.
The programs are clear and uncluttered, they do what they are called and the focus on what they were made for. That is what I figure. Remember I am a newbie when it comes to Apple. I have never even used a Ipod.
The updates goes smoothly and knowledge of a OS is not needed if you can read basic english. The browser (safari) is fast and without clutter.
.DMG files
I still have no idea how they really work (noob here remember) but when I click on them the programs instantly open without installing which is kind of weird. Unlike Windows where you have to install it.
Theme
I have used the Mac OS theme for Windows and for Ubuntu but it still does not come close to the real thing. The look and feel of Mac OS beats most OS themes I have used so far. Simple is the key.
Hardware
The Keyboard and the mouse takes getting used to. At first glance I could not understand how a mouse without a right click button could properly work. But after using the mouse keyboard combo for a while one quickly gets used to the idea. The little scroller in the mouse can go any direction and I wonder why its not been adapted on other mouses as well. Maybe it has a patent I dont know but it works great.
I guess that is all I can really share for now. I will later post more in depth about how i find the Apple Mac.
