I just started with a new theme. After contacting people and finding out that the lowest price for the them i want is about $1500 I decided to design a wordpress magazine style theme that looks like a news site’s theme since that is the type I like.

And where this site is headed is more in the category first type of blog than the posts on the front page blog.

When its finished i might consider selling it. I might even start my wordpress site again, the one I had got some nice visits but was to lazy to upkeep it.

I dont know how other people design themes but this is how i do it.

Being a full time blogger I have been looking for a long time for something like Windows Live writer. I was using Ubuntu and have wanted to try Windows Live Writer for some time now.

Windows Live writer can be installed on any Windows machine and i have only been using it for a few days now but its probably the best blogging software out there.

Who would of thought that I would be doing a review on Windows Software.

The one thing that saves a lot of time in Windows Live writer the ability to upload images directly from your Desktop onto your blog. You can also upload video directly from your desktop which makes blogging images way easier.

Another thing is the preview style of the draft or post you are working on. it takes on the form of your blog so you can basically see how the current post will look in your blog while typing.

And even with a live preview of how it will look in your blog, blogging has never been easier than now.

Not just that i cant find the ” button.

Recently I got a new Packard Bell laptop and really like it so far. Just now and then i run into a massive lack of design creativity. I dont know what else to call it.

The problem is that keyboards and mousepads have been made for ages the same way. That is because people are used to something and they want what they are used to. They also want things that work. And something that has proven to work should be used if you want to have satisfied people with your product.

Now on my new laptop keyboard i can see the end button which is also a button i used to use a lot without even noticing it. Before i can use the end button i have to almost dislocate my fingers to somehow push the fn and then the end button.

Now being a fast typer i find that really annoying because it stops me thinking about the subject i am blogging about and puts all my focus on trying to push the end button.

As they say. If it works dont fix it.

That is what sets aside great blogs from not so great blogs.

Have you ever typed a great article and think by yourself millions of people will love this? Well they probably will, its just if you dont allready have those visitors the content is going no where.

Now I  am not talking about social marketing etc and all that stuff. I am just talking about posting something and getting a reaction from it.

The reason most blogs succeed is because they create the search engine content and then when they get visitors they use that traffic to boost their new articles. Sounds obvious. Let me explain.

If you get 1000 visitors a month from search engines. Probably 10 at least of those are people that bookmark and share interesting stuff. Might even be less.

Now if you get 10 000 visitors a month from search engines the chances are that 100 people are bookmarkers and people that share.

See how having more search engine traffic can increase visitors to your site from other sources.

One of the most important thing for a blogger to find a great Laptop is the keyboard. Sure you find the best laptop with the greatest functions. It’s got everything you need and even more. The price is great and everything seems fine. Until you take it home.

The problem starts when the touchpad is to close to the keyboard. In a certain packard bell laptop I have whenever you push to hard on the keyboard or the area infront of the keyboard the mouse goes crazy and starts clicking.

Now that’s not good if you are writing a blog post or article.

Another thing you have to look at when searching for a great laptop, netbook or notebook is that the buttons rise out far enough to type fast. That is off course if you can type. I find it really annoying and before I look at any functions on a laptop the keyboard has to be working like I want it. The touchpad should not do anything if you press hard around the sides of the touchpad and the mouse should also not move when typing or touching the area around the touch pad.

So this is one thing you really should look at before buying a laptop. The keyboard and the touchpad.

I am not genius and I dont have a phd in coding or anything but I know for a fact that Wordpress is ready for search engines out of the box. The reason I am saying this is because I have another site where only have one plugin that helps with seo and have not done anything else for seo. The site gets around 50k visitors.

Wordpress is great out to the box and while there are many plugins you really dont need them. They do make life a bit easier though. Being a non coder like me usually makes a person nervous for just installing any plugin. So just that you know, Wordpress can be used out of the box and you will get a lot of traffic if you get past the 3 month mark as blogged on Bloggingniche.com

The key to getting traffic to your Wordpress site is by using tags and using the categories correctly. Dont overdo the categories and dont overdo the tags. Dont use a tag if the word is not in your article. Simple stuff can get your Wordpress blog more traffic. But its all built in.

Getting traffic to a new Wordpress blog can be done by just linking from one site to your Wordpress blog. As soon as a search engine scans that link they will go to your site.

Now because Wordpress has everything you need already built in that does not mean you dont have to do anything. Using certain functions in Wordpress will get more traffic than using it in another way. But that is for another post.
