"There is great fear here. People are terrified, just as they were under apartheid, when the ANC was banned. During that time, if the National Party government discovered what was in our hearts and minds we were arrested, lost our jobs, and some even got killed,"I am not that old but I can remember the National Party. I dont have a opinion though i might have been a bit young to realise what was going on. But according to them it was bad, and now the ANC is doing the same to the Congress of the people. The closer the general election comes of 2009 we are starting to see the true colours of the ANC.
According to IOL Lekota also said:
"Many people who wanted to be here have not come, after seeing what happened at the other meetings. "People think that if they come to these meetings the people in government will discover they were here. When people are afraid of a party, it means it no longer represents them,"
Lekota said the formation would then have to go back to the communities for a name and colours and (possibly) report back on December 16 - Reconcilation Day - for the launch of that party. Now that is interesting, will they have enough time to make a impact if they only start their party on the 16 December. I think that might be a bit late for such a party to have a big part in the 2009 General elections.
So last night the new SA mascot called Zakumi was unveiled in a badly lit TV broadcast. [caption id="attachment_14776"
[/caption] 2010 World Cup Soccer hosted in South Africa brings the worlds eyes to South Africa once again, but at least this time its in the view of a 14 year old kid inside a Leopard Suit, called Zakumi, the new face of 2010 South Africa. The mascot entered through a beaded curtain Monday in Johannesburg. But what the heck does that mean? Well the first two letters of Zakumi are the country's initials in Afrikaans (one of South Africa's 11 official languages) and "Kumi" means 10 in many African languages representing the year of the tournament. Tim Modise, spokesman for the South African organizing committee, said zakumi can also be understood as "come here" in southern African languages. SO WHATS THE BIG DEAL? Zakumi was created by Cape Town-based artist Andries Odendaal. The predominantly gold colours - subtly incorporated with green and white, with the letters "South Africa 2010" across his chest apparently represent the country's wealth and hopes for 2010 and the prickly dreadlocks are meant to give him the edge over his fellow cats. [caption id="attachment_14777"
[/caption] Zakumi's costume was produced by Cora Simpson who produced Simba the Lion and Dazzler, the official Mascot for the 2003 Cricket World Cup. Zakumi also joined the ranks of SA's born-free generation as he was accorded with the birth date of June 16 1994, meaning he will turn 16 in 2010.
This weekend the water came right across the beach of Kleinmond flowing right into the lagoon. Hence the foamy colour.

The jacket Adam Savage often wears on Mythbusters is one of the coolest looking jackets ever. Wearing this people will give their attention to you even if you dont deserve it. Might have a few hassles at a US airport but for the rest it looks pretty cool.
This jacket is made to be basically indestructible. It's got tons of features, almost as many as the iphone including a place to put your iphone.
Functions include:
Spine pad
Rifle Coil and some other stuff
Comes in 4 colours

Cant stop thinking about tetris? Not likely but these tiles will make you think about that classic game called tetris.

WP-Cumulus allows you to display your site's tags, categories or both using a Flash movie that rotates them in 3D. It works just like a regular tags cloud, but is more visually exciting. Clicking the tags can be a little hard (depending on your speed setting) but does take you to the appropriate page :).http://wordpress.org/extend/pl
Driving photos suck, I know taking photos while driving is a no but the crane looked so clourful and i just thought I'd take the chance and take the photo.

Imagine standing up in the morning and looking at this. Lots of people that live in Gordons Bay do. I think if I would buy a house it would be in Gordons Bay, not that its likely. We have some steep prices here in Helderberg. I guess property is not everyone's game.
Anyway I like how this photo is not all that plain and the grass and sky brings in colour.
