Al Quaeda blames Barack Obama for Israel-Gaza conflict

January 7, 2009 by Daizy

rocket_into_israelSeeing that the conflict goes back to 1960 I cannot fathom why they can blame him. Apparently they believe it's Obama's present to Israel. Huh?! Ok how can a war that was started by Hamas even remotely be blamed on Obama or America. The way the Muslims continue to think that the world revolves around hating them, is seriously clouding their judgment. Hamas continual rocket fire into Israel started this current battle, not Obama. Then they people argue put Hamas has the right to be angry because they live in a segregated community. Now flashback to when the border was made and the Israeli's was forcefully removed from their homes to give it to the Palestinians, all the Arab countries agreed upon the boundaries. Actually everyone was happy to force Israel into giving Gaza to the Palestinians. What a mistake. The Israeli's created and oasis where there was desert. They built all the hospitals and schools they had flourishing greenhouses. Where is all those things? Destroyed by Hamas for some inexplicable reason. Their hate so much stronger than their common sense. I saw on tv how the Israeli settlers cried over they're homes and farms as they where being forced from their homes. Back then it was green and beautiful now it's becoming desert again.

Green houses before Palestinians took over Gaza

They burned them all 14$million worth greenhouses destroyed for arms smuggling tunnels.

The point is the Israeli's gave in once just to be attacked again. Now the whole world is screaming for Israel to stop the fighting but what of Hamas? Should they not carry some of the burden, most of them are cowards who think if they shoot a rocket while between homes of families with children they would get away with it. That is why so many children are getting hurt because Hamas is sheltering themselves behind them. I am all worked up now because watching on the news how they concentrate on children being carried into the hospital very view ask the question why was the Israeli's shooting where there are civilians. It's because the rocket fire is coming from there.

The Tale of Despereaux - Movie Trailer

January 4, 2009 by Daizy

The Tale of Despereaux should get the award for the most adorable movie of the year. It is so cute. Suitable from babies to adults. I'll definitely watch it with my children.

the_tale_of_despereaux_poster_1the_tale_of_despereaux_poster_3The movie is about a small mouse with big ears named Despereaux. Who lives under a castle in a 'mouse village'. Despereaux is a very different from all the other mice, he is brave. The mouse community thrive on fear they all have it and sees Despereaux as weird and unmouselike. so he gets expelled. He wants to become a knight so he goes to live in the castle and meets the princes. When she is captured by a mob of rats Despereaux goes after her.

The plot might have been cheezy if it was not done in this funny way where you can laugh at things that might have been sad if it was written any differently. This is refreshingly cute. And I love the culture change. These days all good animation is so influenced by American culture it has become annoying.Despereaux is like a breath of fresh air :)

I have collected a couple of posters of Despereaux click on images to enlarge.

Where to watch and find breaking news online - For news junkies

December 18, 2008 by evl

I am a real news junkie. I dont know why but its like an addiction. I want to know things before the rest of the world knows them Also running a blog I can blog about things before others blog about it. Its just plain addictive. So here are a few places to get stuck on looking for breaking news. Some you know, some you might not. Some are obvious. Lets explore: Google News Google News is probably a crowd favorite and I can understand why. Instead of just showing one news source it shows the collective topic all the news sites are talking about. So instead of just finding one breaking news story, you'll find that breaking news story showing all the sites that write about it. One thing worth it is to customize your news on Google News. Personally I dont like sport so i removed it. screen-capture.png Newsvine Newsvine is like a news community where you can vote on news and share news. Its basically as I said a news community. This is worth checking out although if you are not living in the US you might not enjoy it that much since it mostly focussed on US stories. screen-capture-1.png Twitter Twitter can be a great source to find breaking news. Oddly most people that have breaking news usually use the words "breaking news" For instance doing a search on search.twitter.com and searching for "breaking news" will give you many results and mostly when bloggers and tweeters break the news, it's before the news channels and papers. screen-capture-2.png Addict-o-matic (addictomatic.com) This is a different type of way to find the news. This will not really show you all the breaking news from random topics but will enable you to find news about a specific topic. By choosing your sources and typing in your wanted word you want news for it enables you to find news or articles from various places. Although you can find breaking news here about a topic you might also find things that are a bit older. screen-capture-3.pngscreen-capture-4.png screen-capture-5.png screen-capture-6.png

Disaster Ivy, also known as poison Ivy

November 22, 2008 by evl

ivy-digs-in.jpg

This single woman is the reason I am going to have to pay R1000 a month for 10gig 1mb bandwidth. That's more than $100 for probably the worst internet in the world. The cause of this mass miscommunication is this woman you see in the picture. The communications minster old dinosaur Ivy has probably never even used the internet before and guess what. She makes the rules. Why must a entire country suffer because of one woman's failure to do her job properly. But as a citizen and a blogger I am going to start a campaign to stop this woman. I might fail but at least I am not a failure like the internet we have here in South Africa.

Frankly I am very very annoyed.

How can one person make a difference? I actually dont know but I am going to find out.

Role Models - Movie Trailer and Exclusive clip

November 15, 2008 by Daizy

This movie, Role Models, looks hilarious. It probably will have some sappy good feel parts in it but mostly it looks funny. Now I don't particularly like the type film with kids involved, there is just something annoying about watching kids on screen. But these two doesn't seem so annoying to watch. The movie is about these two sales reps, Danny and Wheeler, who mess up badly and they get two choices go to jail for 30days or community service. So they get sent to a organization that gets role models for children. The thing is these two Danny played by Paul Rudd, is an guy who just can't grow up. He gets placed with a sixteen year old boy named Augie, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, who is a complete and utter geek. Wheeler played by Seann William Scott, is the last type of guy you would want as a role model for your kids gets placed with a foul mouthed little boy Ronnie played by Bobb'e J. Thompson. So the plot is pretty much obvious, wonder if I'll be surprised at the end. This movie is definitely just for laughs even though it has a good message attached, if you are in search of something that would make you think, this is not it.

eMarketing

November 10, 2008 by evl

Welcome to my eMarketing page. Here I would like to talk about something I really enjoy, something worth talking about if you have a website and something that there is a lot of money in. It's called eMarketing. What is eMarketing? Well as one define:google puts it: Emarketing is: Achieving marketing objectives throuh use of electronic communications technology. That means basically marketing something through the use of something like the internet. The name actually comes from Internet marketing. What I know it as is basically marketing over the internet, we dont reffer to it as marketing over electronic means, because there are a lot of communications technology we can not consider as eMarketing. So for this article we will only consider eMarketing as marketing something on the internet. So what does it involve? eMarketing includes total marketing of a product or service on the internet, excluding marketing done in any other form that brings people to the place where you are "pulling" people to.

eMarketing blabber

October 31, 2008 by evl

Yes, eMarketing sucks. If you dont like what you are doing it sucks. Blogging on the other hand is fun and not so boring. Now I personally enjoy emarketing but for most people learning the ways to market something on the internet takes years and then you have the competition. That is why you should always find the right people to do eMarketing for you. On the internet you mostly have only one shot at making a great impact with your product or service per person. So making the most of every visit or person you come in contact with on the internet is the best way of building a community but if you are only doing it for the sake of selling a product or getting people to go to your site they pick up on that quickly. If you are however passionate about a service or product and you can blog about it for days on end and you make connections that way you will find it easier to spread your brand. I think i need sleep or coffee. I am just bored.

New party challenging the ANC launching on 16 December

October 20, 2008 by evl

I just read that the party might start 16 December. According to what Mosiuoa Lekota said at the rally or convention According to news24
Lekota said the formation would then have to go back to the communities for a name and colours and (possibly) report back on December 16 - Reconcilation Day - for the launch of that party.
Now that is interesting, will they have enough time to make a impact if they only start their party on the 16 December. I think that might be a bit late for such a party to have a big part in the 2009 General elections.
