Monocycle - First self balanching Bike

The monocycle designed by Palmadesign.at is what they claim the world's first self balancing bike.
Its a really cool concept. If you want to go faster you just lean forward and if you want to go slower you just lean backwards.
I am not so sure about hills though because they make you lean backwards naturally.
The monocycle has a strong electric motor as well so its not all pedal power.
I just love the simple design of it.

I can't figure out what this dog is doing. Is he trying to drag his buddy to safety or does he think it's food. Can't be sure because of the truck blocking our view. I prefer he is helping his buddy though :)Army helicopter at the V A waterfront in Cape Town

I must admit I am not really that into army gear and all but this is a pretty cool chopper. Massive space. I think i would use it as a camper if i had one.
Time to prepare for blackouts

As usual Eskom denies massive blackout in January and February next year but just in case, that time of year its really hot and I can remember last year every hour the fans go stand still and the aircons stop. I guess the only thing on can do is get UPS or solar powered cooling systems. Although because of the storms here in Cape Town and the rest of the country i am not so sure we can really predict what will happen next year and if there will even be a really hot summer.Really cool, Stormhoek blogging thing
