Alessandra Ambrosio in black lace for Fashion Fest 2009
Is it just me or is Alessandra Ambrosio skinnier than usual? Like normally she has this body built for the runway but her legs look rather 'bony' as if she really need to eat something. The one thing that I like about the Victoria Secret Angel models they not stick objects on the runway, they look like women, magnificent super women but still women. Here her face and her upper body still looks very good but she looks rather skinny in the legs department. Maybe it's because she is a mom now and her body is changing?
Arise Cape Town Fashion week 2009

The Arise Cape Town Fashion week has become on of the biggest anual fashion events in South Africa. It is particularly a big deal for fresh up and coming new designers right out of college .
Day one, Thursday is a dedicated solely to Emerging new Designers. Most of them are just out of college. So the first night is not to be missed because that would be where you would see truly unique and eclectic fashion.
Day two, Friday will be focused on Sportswear, swimwear and of course style. These would be fashions from Arise Fashion Awards most recent winners and the swimwear collections by Lovewaterlove.
Day three, Saturday the big finale featuring day wear and evening wear by five major fashion designers/brands Carducci Women, Gavin Rajah, Klûk CGDT, Fabiani and Stefania Morland.
The Arise Cape Town Fashion week will be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre obviously in Cape Town. Tickets can be bought at Computicket and a full schedule with times will be provided.

Anne Hathaway looks like she has stepped of the silver screen. She looks marvellous, just beautiful. The classic hairstyle and make up with this gorgeous deep purple gown showing of her legs that honestly have never looked this good. I am not to fond of her shoes but luckily it does not spoil the whole effect.

I loved Jessica Biels choice of dress. It looked stunning on her and also very sexy. Her tan is a bit over the top but the only reason I believe her skin tone seemed so unnatural was because of her choice of lipstick. With such a dark dress with such tanned skin to make her luscious lips such a pale colour kind of makes her look funny. But I really can't complain about anything else Jessica and red works.

Well it was not what I expected. The Virgin Mobile Cape Town Fashion week could of been better. In fact I found it boring. Although I got some nice photos and all. This is a photo of the screen they use to show a few ads before the actual fashion show starts.

Yeah, yeah. Apparently most people went to the fashion show to watch the fashion. But just look at this, nobody is actually looking at the model. Why pay R100 if you dont even look at the model. There are only like 10 and they walk really fast. I mean the entire fashion show is about 10 minutes. But still, what a waste of money for the ALL to be looking somewhere else.
