This is so cute. The way Geri giggles like a little naughty boy each time he makes a move :) but it has two sides it also makes me sad to see the poor old man playing chess by himself and enjoying it, it seems very lonely.
This has to be one of the funniest animated short films I have ever seen. It's just adorable when at the end his lip wobbles :)
I love Sandra Bullock's movies. I don't think I have seen anything of hers that I have not liked. Her quirky characters and her ability to make a person laugh while still remaining attractive is a very rare thing. Normally female comedians can be so off putting and rather crude but not Sandra Bullock.
The movie is about a eccentric woman Mary Horowitz played by Sandra Bullock who is an crossword puzzler, goes on a blind date with Steve played by Bradley Cooper. She falls madly in love as soon as she meets him but he thinks she is a nut. Steve is a news camera man and is called away on work. Mary decides she is going to follow him around like a stalker. There is many things that go wrong but Steve starts to see Mary differently.
All about Steve looks hilarious and strangely unpredictable. Why I say strange is normally with this type of film typical American romantic comedy the end is pretty much obvious but with this one I cannot make out whats going to happen. Watch the trailer and see what I mean. I am so going to see this movie :)
I can understand how they won so many awards. Wow this really looks like a beautiful movie. It has everything Romance, drama, action, suspense, mystery even comedy. I cannot wait to see it for myself. I have always been a foreign film fan but this is so different from anything that has been done before, even the trailer makes me smile.
Official trailer
The movie is about a orphan boy, Jamal Malik, who grows up in the slums of Mumbai. At eighteen he got the opportunity to take part in India's 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire?' and win 20 million rupees. But when before he could answer the last question the police comes and arrest him in suspicion of cheating.
Everyone was confused how could a boy with no education get so far in the game. So he tells the police his whole life story and how he knew the answers. The only part that confused them was that he was not interested in winning the money and was curious to why he took part. Which will only be revealed when he answers the last question.
Ok that is a very ruff summary of the movie because I really don't want to say more and maybe spoil it for someone. I have unfortunately already had read a couple of spoilers and know how it feels.
I found this video clip made by Addictive TV. It is very well done and fun to watch. They compiled scenes from the movie to make a very unusual trailer.
The film won a Golden Globe for best film and I believe is nominated for a couple of other awards. Not sure but I am so glad to see for once a non American movie being so popular.
Yipee! At last a new princess movie from Disney! It's been years since we have had one of these most probably because children have changed so much since I was a little girl. But I am so excited about this movie can't wait to go watch it with my little princess shell just love it, mainly because of the frog she loves frogs hehe.
Now the only problem I have is I can't find any info of the film not even at the official site. All I got is that it's about a African American girl named Princess Tiana in the old Louisiana during the New Orleans' French Quarter.
Even though that is it this tiny trailer hints at great promise of a lovely movie with tons of laughter :)
This looks heartbreakingly beautiful. The movie itself 'The secret life of bees' is based on a novel, by Sue Monk Kidd. I read a review where they say because they gave the movie a feel good theme of love and redemption they robbed the book of its 'maudlin tale' and melodrama according to the critic. I disagree.
I have not read the book but this movie looks so beautiful in every way. I am not a fan of dramas but this looks so good it made me want to watch it, now. The plot is about a 14 year old girl, Lily Owens who runs away from abusive father with her caregiver. She ends up in a household of the Boatwright sisters in South Carolina, who are beekeepers by trade and are cultured and educated African American woman, in the year 1964. The fact that she is a white girl obviously in need did not matter to the sisters as they took her in and she finds love and peace there.
The cast is amazing, they have brought five of the most talented woman out there together , Queen Latifa plays the strong eldest Boatwright sister, August Boatwright and the role is perfect for her. Alicia Keys is also in the movie acting as June Boatwright the middle sister, also the musical sister. Sophie Okonedo who is most famous for her role in the movie 'Hotel Rwanda' and preferring the stage to film. The fact that she is an extraordinary actress also makes it even better to see her part of this cast acting as the youngest and slight odd sister May Boatwright. Then there is Dakota Fanning the girl with more acting talent than most famous Hollywood starlets plays Lily Owens. The role is a difficult one of a girl who has survived abuse from her father and living in a household of African Americans in a time when it was unheard of. Jennifer Hudson acts as Lily Owens caregiver, Rosaleen Daise.
This is an extra clip I found :)
Four Christmases looks hilarious, I love Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn. There are a couple good actors also in this film. Unusual for a Christmas feel good themed movie to have so many popular and good actors.
Now the movie is about a couple who is perfectly happy just being a couple, not married and not parents. They have been able each Christmas to avoid they're family celebrations. Then by circumstances they end up having to go to all four family Christmas get together's. In this process they end up reflecting on their own relationship and what they want out of life.
The plot sound super serious but it's not, seeing all these hilarious families celebrating Christmas in their own way. And watching two people who are obviously commitment phobic surrounded by all of this. I am so going to watch this movie.
At first when I read what this movie is about I thought it would suck a real depressing film. Now I have to give you fair warning that the trailer is a bit of a spoiler giving more away than they should. But personally I like that, when it comes to drama's I like to have a reasonable guess where it is going. I hate depressing or half endings. Nothing puts me of more than a sucky ending.
Now the movie 'Gardens of the Night' is about two kids kidnapped by this guy and how he raised them and they ended up on the street. The relationship that is formed between the two children and how the fact they where kidnapped alters it. I would love to see this just to know how it ends :) It looks fascinating
