Half-Life: Episode 3 & Half-Life 3 Update July 25th, 2008
Good news and bad, well first the Good, the next instalment of Half-Life 2: Episode 3 is still in the works.
The bad news is, we have still a few years of waiting to do before Gordon gets his hands on the Half-Life 3 Crowbar which will no doubt somehow survive to this next instalment.
Personally i cannot wait to see what happens to Gordon in this next instalment, what dangers he going to face, and how miraculously he is going to survive the again, no thanks to the G-Man.
With this years E3 having just passed and Valve having had little to say and not much more to show, we give you these 2 concept arts to tantalise your taste buds. Something we should all know by now is that Valve is not the fastest of developers usually leaving large gaps between their major releases, but as with Half-Life 2 that was worth the wait and then the episodes to wet our taste buds in between we can be assured that Episode 3 and Half-Life 3 will be no different.
So lets all be patient and wait for the marvel that is Mr. Freeman

Half-Life 2 Cinematic Mod 8 Available July 16th, 2008
The main enhancements of the Cinematic mod are the sound and graphics details. Version 8 however also offers new character models, high- resolution textures and physical gimmicks such as hair movement. There are also dynamic shadows, HDR rendering and motion blur. CM* uses the latest version of Source’s Engine, the Orange Box Engine, and does not only limit the improvements to Episode 2, but also to Episode 1 and Half Life 2.
If you have all 3 of the Half Life games then you can download the 6.4GB package at the Half Life Portal. Recommendations for you system, because of the large textures, are above 2GB of RAM and a 64 Bit OS. Your graphics card also needs to support Shader model 3 and have more than 256MB video memory.
