The ANC's plan for creating jobs

March 2, 2009 by evl

The ANC released their plans today for creating jobs. It reads as this:
Over the last 15 years we have achieved significant levels of sustained economic growth. We have managed to progressively increase the rate at which jobs have been created. But despite our progress, we still face massive unemployment and widespread poverty. We need to continue to grow the economy, and make sure that the benefits of growth are shared among all South Africans. That is why the ANC has developed a clear and achievable plan that will grow the economy over the next five years and create more decent jobs. This plan includes: * a massive public investment programme, expanding and improving rail networks, public transport, port operations, dams, housing, telecommunications and energy generation; * an expanded public works programme linked to the infrastructure programme and meeting social needs with home-based case, cr

ID to bring back scorpions among other things

January 19, 2009 by evl

The Independent democrats said they will also bring back the scorpions. I wonder where they got that idea from. I bet you all the other parties might bring it back as well. Except off course for the ANC. Nope, you can be sure they wont bring back the scorpions.

The Independent Democrats national election manifesto will among others focus on the re-introduction of the Scorpions, restoring the public's faith in the police and addressing social ills, party leader Patricia Delille said on Sunday.

War between Israel and Gaza

December 28, 2008 by Daizy

hamas_rocketsI do not understand why everyone is concentrating on the fact that Israel attacked Gaza. Think carefully if this was for example the United states of America and Mexico kept shooting missiles over the border and sending in suicide bombers, there would be a wall up in a week and they would declare war on Mexico. Same could be said for any country. So why is Israel being blamed for trying to defend it's people? Hamas do not want to share Israel, they want it under Muslim rule, they want to own the whole country. It's not like they give Israelis a choice. Hamas will not stop they are determined that Israel must once again be a Muslim nation. And that can never be done because if that would happen the whole of Israel would be destroyed. Think about what happened to those Buddhist statues that was blown up because according to Muslim law such things should be destroyed. Israel will defend itself until the last Israeli and Hamas would do the same Hamas's law prohibit that they share the land with Jews and Christians, this is not about Gaza being sectioned of from Israel. They where separated because they kept blowing up people and bringing terror into Israel. Not because Israel is racist and mean. There would be no peace in that part of the world for a long time, the rest of the world should just leave it be.

Elephant wants to camp with at Kruger national Park

December 24, 2008 by evl

Elephants can be really dangerous animals, the can also be real fun animals. Here we can see a Elephant wanting to join in some camping. I know this is the Kruger National Park because of the number plates on the car and the types of bushes. Although I might be totally wrong. 1.jpg 10.jpg 11.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg 2.jpg 5.jpg 6.jpg 7.jpg 8.jpg 9.jpg

Democratic Alliance to bring back the scorpions

November 25, 2008 by evl

If the DA wins the general election they will be bringing back the scorpions the Anc has broken down in a matter of weeks. This important part of stopping the corruption and filth of the ANC is much needed, especially since those people that voted for the Scorpions to desolve is corrupt themselves.

The DA (democratic alliance) says in their "DA

South Africans should be able to vote abroad

November 22, 2008 by evl

What kind of crap is that, that South African citizens are not able to vote abroad? Criminals can vote but people who left the country because of crime but really want to come back cant vote. See they want the country to change before they do come back and how can that be possible if they have no say in matters. If they were born here they are South African and they must have the right to vote. A discussion about this topic is also busy as we speak at Constitutionally speaking So why cant they vote? The reason people outside the country cant vote is probably because the ANC passed a law quickly before the 2004 elections As a old article from 2004 rights from news24 :
Parliament adopted a controversial election bill on Friday that excludes citizens living abroad from voting in general elections next year. The Electoral Laws Amendment Bill was adopted after a last-minute change that effectively bars any South African abroad from voting in elections, expected to be held during the first half of 2004. The ruling African National Congress (ANC) supported the withdrawal of a clause to the bill, which was approved by the National Assembly's home affairs committee last Friday. The clause would have allowed special votes to students, businessmen, travellers, and citizens temporarily out of the country to vote.
Today Helen Zille met with the IEC to chat about some things and amonst the topics that came up was just this. From news24:
Democratic Alliance leader Helen Zille will lobby for the right of all South Africans living abroad to vote, at a meeting with Independent Electoral Commission head Brigalia Bam on Friday, the party said. Zille said that Section 33(1)(e) of the Electoral Act provides for South African citizens who are temporarily abroad - for purposes of a holiday, a business trip, attending a tertiary institution, or participating in an international sports event - to vote in national and provincial elections by special vote. The DA believes that the section should be extended to include South African citizens who are living abroad, many of whom intend returning. In addition, to enable these South Africans abroad to vote, it is essential for the IEC to make provision for them to register at South African embassies and consulates. This is critical if the IEC is to fulfil its constitutional mandate.

Lekota compares ANC to National Party of the old days

November 17, 2008 by evl

Lekota says that the ANC is being like the National party was during the times of apartheid. Lekota said: (from IOL)
"There is great fear here. People are terrified, just as they were under apartheid, when the ANC was banned. During that time, if the National Party government discovered what was in our hearts and minds we were arrested, lost our jobs, and some even got killed,"
I am not that old but I can remember the National Party. I dont have a opinion though i might have been a bit young to realise what was going on. But according to them it was bad, and now the ANC is doing the same to the Congress of the people. The closer the general election comes of 2009 we are starting to see the true colours of the ANC. According to IOL Lekota also said:
"Many people who wanted to be here have not come, after seeing what happened at the other meetings. "People think that if they come to these meetings the people in government will discover they were here. When people are afraid of a party, it means it no longer represents them,"
