Gisele Bunchen gorgeous at the Colcci winter show, Sao Paulo fasion week 2009

January 20, 2009 by Daizy

On the runway it is obvious why Gisele Bunchen is so popular among designers. She has the perfect body for displaying clothes. The clothes look gorgeous on her, even though the clothes are gorgeous anyway but with her long legs such a high waistline does not matter. Even though her face usually tend to look rather muscular, here it looks beautiful and soft. I think it's her hair and no strong make up that makes the difference. gisele_bundchen_0_17 gisele_bundchen_0_16 gisele_bundchen_0_15 gisele_bundchen_0_14 gisele_bundchen_0_13 gisele_bundchen_0_12 gisele_bundchen_0_11 gisele_bundchen_0_10 gisele_bundchen_0_9 gisele_bundchen_0_8 gisele_bundchen_0_7 gisele_bundchen_0_6 gisele_bundchen_0_5 gisele_bundchen_0_4 gisele_bundchen_0_3 gisele_bundchen_0_2 gisele_bundchen_0_1

Why you should not buy a premium theme

September 7, 2008 by evl

This is something many people will not like this post for but spending money on a Wordpress theme is just a waste of money. Sure you might think you are buying something unique but that's not the case, the internet is big and people blog about themes, as soon as that theme hits the social networks everyone will want it and your unique theme will be out of the window. The myth of support I have bought some themes from people, even famous themers and the support sucks. If you are thinking of buying a theme and hoping for support when you want a bit of customization think again because if you need to buy a theme that already means you dont really know how to do the thing on your own so customizing would be out of the window. Premium themers want your money, when they have it you better hope they are some of the few that will help you sort out the issues the theme might have Open Source Open source is way better than buying a theme. Often I have the issue of wanting to use a theme on more than one site after I have started using it. If you have a premium theme that idea is out of the window as well. Open Source themes enables you to change it that it suits you and reuse it on all your sites without paying a hefty $200 So many great free themes You dont need to fork out $200 for a theme, all you need to do is search a bit harder. There are great sites, so many that it would be a post on its own that points out the great Wordpress theme sites. Wordpress.org also has a theme section now. If you cant find the perfect theme, search more. I am just writing this post out of experience with both themes and themers. Having bought a few themes and getting that expierence I would like to share it. Please remember not all premium themers are like this. Just somehow the ones that I have worked with.

Hermanus whale festival coming up soon

August 28, 2008 by evl

The Hermanus whale festival is that time of year where you actually have a reason to go to Hermanus. The rest of the time finding one is not that hard with those beautiful beaches and nice restaurants.

Usually the Hermanus whale festival offers great views and this time of year its the perfect time to go, September being even better weather.

The whales are already here, just today we spotted a whale here in Helderberg close to Gordons Bay.

Soon they will start visiting Hermanus.

We will soon have a Hermanus Whale festival section up here.

Bush toilet Oribi Gorge close to Durban

August 22, 2008 by evl

I am not actually sure if Oribi gorge is close to Durban but I am sure it is. This is a photo of the toilet right at the gorge. Some view this is.

This is the perfect place to get lost in the bush. There are even lions. Well they are in enclosures but still, you get the sense of adventure.

The perfect survival cooking pot or for bushcraft

August 22, 2008 by evl

These pots are sold everywhere in South Africa and you can pick them up for as little as R60 from Checkers or most shops that sell braai equipment. They are quite heavy but really worth the money.

The reason for this is they last years. Whether you just want to go away camping or need to stay in the wilderness for years this is the pot you need to take with.

These pots are called bush babies if I am correct. They are made of cast iron and will probably be the most heavy thing in your survival kit or bug out vehicle or bag.

Some stainless steel pots are not nearly as thick as they should be and soon after some fires they just break and get holes. These dont. Even after years of use they last. Really worth it.
