I was on a small beach between Misty Cliffs and the light house right by what looked like a fisherman's small factory building. The beach was very cluttered and there where many seagulls but I noticed how the sun shone through the sea weed, beautiful. Because it was rather late in the day, a half hour before sunset, the sun slanted right through the sea weed and made it look just like stained class scattered on the beach. The photo came out much better than I could have hoped.
The fires are now coming closer to Erinvale. Check out the photos of the fire in Somerset West

This photo was taken when the sun was still high. But here it was a bit dark. I still wonder if that house made it out of the fire. Time will tell.
So there was a couple of people standing at the circle in Gordons Bay before they got so serious about evacuating the people. Suddenly and out of the blue this bolt of fire came out of the trees.
At least I think it was. Check out the photo below you'll see what I mean
I got this photo when I was out of the fire. The Gordons Bay fire that we had today was one of the worst I have seen on this mountain. Lots of people lost their houses and it got pretty hot up there.
