Well-placed sources said Tshabalala-Msimang, who is renowned for her opposition to the use of antiretroviral drugs to fight HIV-Aids, will regain her position this week in a Cabinet reshuffle. So, lock up your drink cabinets and stock on onions because Barbara Hogan's opinion or freedom of speech is about to make her the ex Health minister. Never mess with free speech, it could land you in trouble, especially if you live in the democrazy of South Africa
Just today we i read about how the taxi drivers are threatening to disrupt the soccer world cup
Iafrica reported
They quoted a protester, Surren Taxi Association's Ismail Baradon, as saying that if the transport ministry did not respond to their concerns there would be disruptions during the 2010 Soccer World Cup.
So imagine for a moment that the soccer world cup is here and thousands of tourists are here. How easy it would be for some group like the taxi drivers or some workers to use the Soccer world cup as a weapon and threaten it some way.
Another example would be what happened in Mumbai. The tourists was worse off. I know that's a total different criteria but i guess you get the point.
The soccer world cup could be used as a weapon or a point of negotiations with strikers or whoever wants something and that is dangerous.
Cholera has now spread through to most of Zimbabwe's neighbors. Its really shocking that so many people has to die while the people that are supposed to "run" the countries just sit and watch.

All it takes is one guy to end this but nobody does anything to stop that mad dictator.
Well Cholera has now spread to the rest of Africa. Even coming to Mbeki town, Mugabe's best friend. Yes South Africa now has a cholera issue as well.
Not only South Africa but it spread to Botswana, Zambia and I have heard Mozambique but I might be wrong.
Reuters also reports that the death toll in Zimbabwe reached 589 according to the UN.
I first thought this was a joke when i read it but it turns out this is no satire, this is real news. Because Eskom is such a failure they might have to use generators to power the 2010 soccer world cup. Seriously, not even talking about the water problem South Africa now faces. Sport24 reports that it will need 3.4million litres of fuel to run those generators. If i have it correct that is a 1/4th of the output of Saudi Arabia for a entire day. That might not sound a lot but it sure is.
Not only that, its so pathetic that Eskom the country's only power provider will be used as backup. It wont even be the choice of power and the fuel be for backup, no they doing it wrong, again.
This will be interesting
Here is something to laugh at:
Dear Electricity Consumer, Just a little note to let you know we understand your anger in the recent price hike and power cuts. But it should be noted that you have no choice. We are a big company and you will pay what we tell you. You have no choice. We have the power, you need the power. So sad, too bad. Sucks to be you. We have enclosed a little picture to help outline our response. Have a nice day and keep those cheques coming, loser! Regards ESKOM
"It will take two weeks to effect the necessary repairs."
