Road trip South Africa

A while back we went on a road trip around South Africa and we drove around 5500 km. The amazing thing is that we saw most of South Africa and the price was not altogether that much.

Before you go to other countries you really should travel South Africa, except for the crime we have one of the most beautiful countries in the world.

We have desserts, forests and almost every type of landscape you can find. We have some of the best beaches in the world as well as some of the best sunsets in the world. South Africa is truly a place to come if you want a bit of everything.

Our road trip cost less than R15000 and took us around South Africa, we saw 7 of the 9 provinces of South Africa and was a experience I would not mind having again.

ANC YOUTH LEAGUE WILL eliminate enimies

eliminate |iˈliməˌnāt|verb [ trans. ]completely remove or get rid of (something) : a policy that would eliminate
Now that we know what that means. The ANCYL has promised that ANC president Jacob Zuma will be president no matter what.Julius Malema the friendly guy from the ANCYL said:
“Any force on our way we will eliminate. We are on a mission here. We will crush you. It doesn’t matter who you are, even if you are in the ANC,”

As you can see he promises to eliminate even himself if he stands in the way.Have they forgotten that this is a democracy? Anyone home there?
This is not the Congo this is South Africa, the so called rainbow nation. You cant just go around saying who you think should be president. What if the ANC does not even make the vote, are they going to go the Zim route and kill their own cattle and those that feed the rest of the country?
Will we soon see zombies running down the roads with pangas?

Clouds Hanging over Strand Beach after the Cape Town storm

Not that its that big, but this was taken a day after the Cape Town storm. You can still see the sand in the road. The entire Helderberg’s beaches was knocked around and some places dont have that much of a beach left after the storm.

Global warming or not, we are watching the beaches get smaller.

Some thoughts on the Cape Town storms of this weekend

This was the worst storm I have ever seen, except from when i was six years old. This was probably one of the worst storms to hit the beaches since I have been a child. Some roads here in the Helderberg got sucked in by the sea while the water was two blocks away from the beach itself.

It seems that global warming must be real because our beaches are now half of what they were. Sure it might be because of the storm and it might return to normal but it surely looks like the sea is sucking in our coasts. And not only our coasts but the buildings and human creations that stand on the beach front as well.

It always used to be that if you live right on the beach you are set for life. But that seems to change now where the wild sea might one day take back a lot of what we thought was part of the cities or towns

I think the worst is yet to come. There are those that believe that global warming is some hoax but this weekend’s events showed me that global warming is real.

I wonder if our kids can oneday show them the beach they play on now, or if the sea will swallow up our beaches.
