48 days to the South Africa elections 2009

The time for the elections is coming closer with only 48 days to the elections. I would of thought there'd be a lot more news of the elections and what's happening but it really has not increased that much.
We only see things of how corrupt the ANC is and now and then we get to see the DA say something. Coverage on tv is not as it could be. I would of loved to see debates between the parties on tv but we all know the ANC cant debate to save a cow.

There is a new ANC sms doing the rounds. Some people on twitter also confirm this. The message reads as this:The contents of the SMS: More than ever b4, ANC needs you,cadre! We now know that more than 6 opposition parties have secretly signed a pact to form an unholy alliance& counter revolutionary coalition to combine their minority votes to stop & unseat the ANC from government, there is only 1 thing that can stop these sinister & hypocritical motives...its an overwhelming 2/3rd majority vote in the upcoming 2009 elections! A minimum of 70% election victory is our target to avoid this calamity which is aimed at regressing our democratic gains whilst perpetuating an emergence of few black elite class! Your resposibility cde is to... commit ,canvass& campaign for the ANC as never b4 2geda we can do it(pass sms 2 at least 5 cdes ) ALUTA!!!Seem that the ANC is really desperate and they cant win the normal way of actually delivering service. Instead they have to do fear mongering.
ID to bring back scorpions among other things

The Independent democrats said they will also bring back the scorpions. I wonder where they got that idea from. I bet you all the other parties might bring it back as well. Except off course for the ANC. Nope, you can be sure they wont bring back the scorpions.

Al Quaeda blames Barack Obama for Israel-Gaza conflict

Seeing that the conflict goes back to 1960 I cannot fathom why they can blame him. Apparently they believe it's Obama's present to Israel. Huh?! Ok how can a war that was started by Hamas even remotely be blamed on Obama or America.The way the Muslims continue to think that the world revolves around hating them, is seriously clouding their judgment. Hamas continual rocket fire into Israel started this current battle, not Obama. Then they people argue put Hamas has the right to be angry because they live in a segregated community. Now flashback to when the border was made and the Israeli's was forcefully removed from their homes to give it to the Palestinians, all the Arab countries agreed upon the boundaries. Actually everyone was happy to force Israel into giving Gaza to the Palestinians. What a mistake. The Israeli's created and oasis where there was desert. They built all the hospitals and schools they had flourishing greenhouses. Where is all those things? Destroyed by Hamas for some inexplicable reason. Their hate so much stronger than their common sense. I saw on tv how the Israeli settlers cried over they're homes and farms as they where being forced from their homes. Back then it was green and beautiful now it's becoming desert again.

The Tale of Despereaux - Movie Trailer

The Tale of Despereaux should get the award for the most adorable movie of the year. It is so cute. Suitable from babies to adults. I'll definitely watch it with my children.
The movie is about a small mouse with big ears named Despereaux. Who lives under a castle in a 'mouse village'. Despereaux is a very different from all the other mice, he is brave. The mouse community thrive on fear they all have it and sees Despereaux as weird and unmouselike. so he gets expelled. He wants to become a knight so he goes to live in the castle and meets the princes. When she is captured by a mob of rats Despereaux goes after her.
The plot might have been cheezy if it was not done in this funny way where you can laugh at things that might have been sad if it was written any differently. This is refreshingly cute. And I love the culture change. These days all good animation is so influenced by American culture it has become annoying.Despereaux is like a breath of fresh air :)

War between Israel and Gaza

I do not understand why everyone is concentrating on the fact that Israel attacked Gaza. Think carefully if this was for example the United states of America and Mexico kept shooting missiles over the border and sending in suicide bombers, there would be a wall up in a week and they would declare war on Mexico. Same could be said for any country.
So why is Israel being blamed for trying to defend it's people? Hamas do not want to share Israel, they want it under Muslim rule, they want to own the whole country. It's not like they give Israelis a choice. Hamas will not stop they are determined that Israel must once again be a Muslim nation. And that can never be done because if that would happen the whole of Israel would be destroyed.
Think about what happened to those Buddhist statues that was blown up because according to Muslim law such things should be destroyed. Israel will defend itself until the last Israeli and Hamas would do the same Hamas's law prohibit that they share the land with Jews and Christians, this is not about Gaza being sectioned of from Israel. They where separated because they kept blowing up people and bringing terror into Israel. Not because Israel is racist and mean. There would be no peace in that part of the world for a long time, the rest of the world should just leave it be.

Canoe or Kayak camping might be one of the most adventures things to do on a december holiday. What it basically is, its packing your canoe or kayak with what you need to camp going down the river and camping as you go down. Now this might not be possible for those extreme kayakers but it sure if fun if you are not that much into the rough waters. The reason I am saying this is because your camping gear will most probably slow you down and you wont be able to take on the real big falls with all that weight. Rss feeds
I hate it when people use my rss feed. Seriously, you want to read my stuff then come to my site. I cant stand it when sites and bloggers tell how many Rss subscribers they have. I bet you not even 1% of people that are subscribed to a site actually come and visit the site.
Although I hate it when people read my rss feed on a reader I still like reading other sites on readers. I know, my right to be annoying.
Leaving url in comment
Sometimes I am amazed at people. The comment section clearly states url. Now that means you dont have to repeat your url in the actual comment, it saves you time and effort. But no, you get these annoying people that fill in a comment and then put their urls under what they've written. Maybe someone should make a comment how-to to explain how the thing works.
Telling people where you've not been before
I have done exactly this for some time until I realized how stupid I must of sound to those that really has been there and know what they are talking about. Although I now have the experience, i also blogged about how to make money before I actually made money.
its like fooling people into believing you make money to make money from them.

5 Ancient weapons that will still work today

The Hungu Munga, also used on in the series buffy the vampire slayer. They dont make blades like this anymore. This particular weapon was used in upper Africa, still is used today in some places. Its thrown into the enemy and basically slices into him and causes real bad damage.
The ballista is a amazing piece of technology for the time it was made. Comparing it to some of today's arrow shooting weapons this thing can shoot through a car. The arrow heads are massive. Might be a mission to carry around though.
The all famous Catapult. How many weapons do you know of today that can shoot a metal ball as far as this thing. Well not many you can build yourself. This is one of the best ancient weapons. Also might be a bit heavy to carry around.
This thing is crazy. Looks like a lazy piece of wood but can make a dent in a modern day armored vehicle. Was on boats as well. Just think of the hole this can make in a boat.
This is called a caltrope and is still used today. It varies in sizes and was also used as anti tank devices in World War 2. Today small versions are still used to stop and puncture the wheels of cars. Might also be known as a Spike trip
