Newsvine
Newsvine is like a news community where you can vote on news and share news. Its basically as I said a news community. This is worth checking out although if you are not living in the US you might not enjoy it that much since it mostly focussed on US stories.
Twitter
Twitter can be a great source to find breaking news. Oddly most people that have breaking news usually use the words "breaking news"
For instance doing a search on search.twitter.com and searching for "breaking news" will give you many results and mostly when bloggers and tweeters break the news, it's before the news channels and papers.
Addict-o-matic (addictomatic.com)
This is a different type of way to find the news. This will not really show you all the breaking news from random topics but will enable you to find news about a specific topic. By choosing your sources and typing in your wanted word you want news for it enables you to find news or articles from various places.
Although you can find breaking news here about a topic you might also find things that are a bit older.

As a windows user I got really annoyed with the constant popping up of junk that wanted to update. But since using Mac I have gotten used to the "remind me later" function that most programs give you. I find that quite anti annoying if there is such a word.
I still prefer GPL linux above Mac though.
I have removed my article because of all the swear words, i dont swear but this woman makes it hard not to swear. Really, who needs comedy when we have idiots like this living in our country.
To think that there are people like this dumb bitch on the roads, and even mayors?
Here is what the Sunday Times wrote about it
Small-town Afrikaners take mayor to court over bulldozing of plaque
Afrikaners from a small town in Mpumalanga have resumed the court fight with their mayor over the bulldozing of a Great Trek monument, which landed on a rubbish dump.
The Standerton Action Committee was in the Pretoria High Court this week again to demand that mayor Queen Radebe-Khumalo restore the commemorative plaque that was broken in 27 pieces after being ripped out of the road the Voortrekkers are believed to have travelled on on their journey north.
In court papers, residents claim that Radebe-Khumalo had no permission from the council to remove the plaque from its position in front of the town hall, but instructed the driver of a front-end loader to rip it up in the middle of the night when no one was watching.
But in responding documents, Radebe-Khumalo, who residents accuse of behaving
Twitterrific is a fun application that lets you both read and publish posts or "tweets" to the Twitter community website. The application's user interface is clean, concise and designed to take up a minimum of real estate on your Mac's desktop.
theodp writes "Blaming an unquantified decline in usage, AOL has notified users it's decided the best thing to do is delete all of their blogs and files on October 31st. Want to save that precious blog of yours? AOL not-so-helpfully suggests: 'The quickest and easiest way to do this is by copying and pasting your content into a word processing document such as Microsoft Word, Notepad or even into an email and mailing it back to yourself. If you have any images we suggest you save them separately by right clicking on the image, choosing "Save Picture As" and allocate the drive on your PC where you would like to save them to.' Gee, thanks. And don't get too smug, Google users - the search giant has put its users on notice that Google Page Creator will be a thing of the past by year-end, although details of the transition have yet to be provided."
See how you should not put your stuff on free places and rather spend that R80 or $10 and getting your own domain? Depending on the cloud for a blog or rather anything is just not that bright.
Annoyed with the earplugs feeling like a drill in your ear? Well you should get these earphones. These magnetic earphones are totally unearbreakable, i know there is no such word but who cares.
The magnetic earphone has a soft magnetic strip that is attached to the ear lobe and the earphone is directly above that.
