I have a few blogs and many of those blogs get good traffic from search engines and social networking sites. But there is a few that just dont do as I thought they would.

That is because I started blogging on them before I knew about first checking out if there are actually people looking for that niche. I said the other day that if you type something, someone will eventually come. But if you want quick and targeted search engine traffic you have to optimize your blog for that. And one of the most important and obvious things are to look if there is anyone on the planet that is interesting in the topic you are blogging about. In fact you need to do some research to find out if that even is a topic.

Otherwise you might end up blogging and not be able to get the readers you deserve for your work. Some people would say that there is no such things as “to small” niche blog or niche market. But the fact is you get niches that are just to small to blog about. Sure you make a dollar a day from your niche blogging on those blogs but its not what someone blogging and putting so much hard work into a blog wants.

There are many things you can look for when you start niche blogging and you want to know if people are actually looking for what you are blogging about.

One of those things is “google adwords keyword tool” You will find it on Google. With that you can see what keywords people are betting on. You can also see the search volume for a specific keyword. So before starting that niche blog make sure to check if people actually search for what you are blogging about.
