Why is the DA so silent about Brandon Huntley?

I was doing a bit of browsing when I saw someone mentioned the DA being so silent about the entire Brandon Huntley story. I wonder why they are so silent about it, during the elections they have the biggest voices but now that their people needs them they dont say a word.

For a official opposition of a country they really should be saying more in my opinion, even if its just a statement on how they stand on the issue. People said during the elections it wont help you vote for anyone and that's why they did not go vote, I am starting to think they were correct because if we look at the strong parties that oppose the ANC, most of them are either silent or they dont even exist anymore.
