Will the ANC push for early elections for fear of losing the General elections in 2009

It seems as if they are trying to push for early elections for fear of losing the general elections of South Africa in 2009. Basically the faster the elections are held the less people have the chance to leave the ANC and join other parties. Also from a article on IOL
