Zimbabwe - First the dollar now the rand

Tuesday, February 10, 2009 - 19:09

A few days ago the bank of Zimbabwe or whoever said they might start using the dollar. I guess their pride came to them and the now might start using the Rand.

South African President Kgalema Motlanthe said on Sunday that neighbouring Zimbabwe, crippled by a record rise in inflation, could adopt the South African rand as its standard currency.

Look who's the loser now mad Bob. Begging for dollars because the currency of Zimbabwe is so useless people use that for toilet paper instead of just using real toilet paper which by the way is more expensive than 500 notes.

I wonder how this will affect the value of the rand?

I dont think it will be good.

I have read somewhere just now that they have AGAIN changed their minds and now not using the rand.

Guess we'll see soon.
